I think that LSU game will tell us a lot about State. Best team on paper in a long time. Will they come out and act like it or fold up? Definitely a game to keep an eye on.

I think Dak will win them a couple of games they normally lose. Maybe 10 wins maybe.

8 wins for sure, and I think we can pick up one more between Ole Miss, Bama, LSU, and Auburn.

I never said anything about miracles and that is not one anyway considering OUR defensive player caused it
And OUR QB led OUR offensive down the field for a game winning drive against MSU, which happens every weekend, yet Auburn keeps getting called lucky. Do you see my point?

Just has a #WeBelieve 2.0 feel to it.

They had some great talent last year. LSU still put 56 on them.
21 of those points came in the last nine minutes of the 4th qtr. look, I despise state college and their fanbase, but they are not as far behind as the SEC heavyweights seem to think.

They'll pull off an upset somewhere but if I had to guess their record: Southern Miss W 1-0 (0-0) UAB W 2-0 (0-0) @ South Alabama W 3-0 (0-0) (terrible scheduling) @ LSU L 3-1 (0-1) Texas A&M W 4-1 (1-1) (most likely upset) Auburn L 4-2 (1-2) @ Kentucky W 5-2 (2-2) Arkansas W 6-2 (3-2) Tennessee-Martin W 7-2 (3-2) @ Alabama L 7-3 (3-3) Vanderbilt W 8-3 (4-3) (although Vandy may spring an upset - they're going to recede a bit from the Franklin era but not completely - they'll pop someone) @ Ole Miss L 8-4 (4-4) So you have a solid season but you still lose 4 SEC games and you lose to Ole Miss, and you may lose to Vanderbilt.
This is very similar to what I was thinking. They likely lose 3 of their 5 road games and lose 1 or 2 of their 4 SEC home games vs AU, TAMU, Vandy, and Arky.
Mullen is 2-21 vs ranked teams and it looks like at least LSU, AU, and Bama will be ranked when they play MSU and TAMU, Ole Miss, and Vandy could be.

I'm not sure what hype you are talking about. Nobody here that are State fans are thumping their chests claiming to win a title.
With that said, they could end up with the third best defense in the SEC and might even have the best DL. They have a capable OL and QB who is all-world when he is on. If he makes defenses honest by completing some intermediate passes then the State offense could be very potent as well. Either way Dak is a dangerous player to scheme against.
So in my opinion they lose a close one to Auburn, LSU beats em up a little worse and Bama will beat them but it'll be a hard hitting nose bleed kind of game. That's who takes em in the west, not sure who the have from the east this year. They will be a very solid football team SEC style.

It was an ugly arse game all around and we played our absolute worst since Freeze got here. Yet, it still went to OT and could have gone either way.
What's your point? Of course it was ugly game. We played a true freshman 3rd string QB for most of the game and our DL ate your lunch. If Dak plays the entire game, we win by 3 TDs, minimum.
That excuse shite can go both ways.

If Moo State can stay healthy and the o-line can hold up they can be a 10 win team easy. The problem is that they always have the core potential to break out, but they never do. Serious question, what other play makers does Moo State have at the skill positions other than Dak?

They will need a balance of run and pass to win the west.

They won't win the west but the talent and schedule is there for them to have a 2012-type aTm season; possibly reaching 10 wins with a bowl victory over an over-rated Big10 team.

Our running game is what worries me a little.
Dak is definitely capable of running the ball, but we don't have an Anthony Dixon type running back to pose a dual threat on third and short. Josh Robinson has shown potential and if he can step it up this season, State should have a pretty explosive offense.

I'm not worried about our backs even the slightest bit. Robinson, Griffin, and Shumpert will be ballers. The only position we have to be concerned with is the OL.
