They get to Atlanta in the biggest shite show of a year the EAST has seen in a while. UGA, UF, had more injuries than players. Tenn is in official year 1 of rebuilding. Kentucky is Kentucky. At the end of the day, Vandy is still Vandy. The only DECENT school they played was SCAR and that was without Shaw for a good portion of the game. They also struggled against Okie Lite. I just don't get the confidence going into this season for them.

Cocky? No. No right to be cocky.

Confident? Absolutely. And why not? If the first 2 years have shown me anything, it's that it is all about luck and who can stay healthy. If Mizzou can stay healthy, they'll play with anyone, just like last year. If they're not healthy, they'll lose to anyone, just like 2 years ago or like UGA and UF last year.

Give me a break, go frick yourself. I'm sorry we have confidence in our team and aren't just gonna lay down before the season has just begun.

Injury excuses are lame they happen to everyone. Did you forget we lost our QB for 5 games and our best corner for a few as well?

Injury plagued or not... Winning either division in the SEC is something to be proud of. Yall better pray we don't win the west anytime soon, because this place will be hell for anyone other than Aggies.

When was the last time the east ended up with 2 top 5 teams? Last year seemed like an unusually strong year for the east.

So are you saying that if we win the East again this year, we have the right to be cocky?

Or will you be part of the old guard that will maintain that, injuries, scheduling and luck made the stars align once again?

Trouble with Okie Lite? They were a top 15 team last year.....Mizzou also went 6-2 against ranked opponents and was 2-0 against the west in the regular season, what was Ole Miss's and A&M's excuses??

Florida had a top 10 defense last year still, our backup QB still put up almost 300 yards.

There are schools in the SEC who never won a division championship, we did it in year two, pretty sure we should feel good about that.

Sorry LSU has no shot at winning the West now with Alabama, Auburn, and A&M. No you can't come to the East.

Finally, kindly go frick yourself.

Wrong. They have all the right in the world to be cocky. They should be the cockiest team in the conference. People would not shut up about how bad a fit they were and how awful they would be in the SEC. They caught so much shite. Then they went out and won the east in their SECOND year in the conference. After enduring an injury plagued 2012 and relentless offseason. frick, MIZ should run their mouths all day long on here. They deserve it.

The East was not a shite show last season. The East was 27-29 last season. That's one game from being .500 against the SEC West. For comparison, the East was 18-30 in 2010, 28-28 in 2012, 21-27 in 2011, and 22-26 in 2009. Georgia being their usual mediocre self and Florida sucking does not mean the SEC East was down. The SEC needs to get used to the idea of Mizzou leading the East. It's the new reality.

Keep telling yourself that!

Two teams ranked in top 5 at end of year....There was strength in the SEC east.

And I don't think Mizzou fans are cocky, just confident we will compete.

Huh but they're still Mizzou. Playing with lesser talented players avg 3*'s. When Mizzou had injuries nobody used that as an excuse to why they sucked. Strange how that works.

Oh and Mizzou had worse injuries in 2012. OL, QB, RB,all in the same damn year. That's your offensive production. As you notice last season they put up more points than in 2012. Hmmm.

tRant, 2012: Lol, this is the SEC. These are the big dogs. I love how these midwesterners have convinced themselves that they can just come into the NFL's player farm and compete with their Big 12 offense. They know we don't play flag football in the SEC, right? Someone DID tell them that, right?

tRant, December 2013: Yeah, well, you know…

Missouri puts up or shuts up and now there's nothing but a bunch of asshurt pansies up in this place

Good job and good luck, Mizzou.

It's true that SCAR had to play their backup for most of that double overtime game. Then again, Mizzou played their backup QB the ENTIRE game. I would still categorize it as a "competitive game".

Ill just leave this here; I was always curious about this when people kept trotting it out as a reasoning for Mizzou having a good year so I did some research. Sorry the facts dont line up with your bullshite.

quote:

2010 SEC East and its one ranked team, #22, winning the division says "hello"

Dont let that stop this bull shite narrative. East had #4,#5 and #24 ranked teams.

Lets look at the facts:

SEC East ranked teams per year:

1992: 8,10,12
1993: 5,12
1994: 7,22
1995: 2,3
1996: 1,9
1997: 4,10,7
1998: 1,5,14
1999: 12,9,16
2000: 10,19,20
2001: 4,3,13,22
2002: 3
2003: 7,15,24
2004: 13,7
2005: 10,12
2006: 1,25,23
2007: 2,12,13
2008: 1,13
2009: 3
2010: 22
2011: 9,19
2012: 5,9,8,23
2013: 5,4,24

Thats right, you are reading that correctly. Its only the 2nd time in 12 years the East has had two top 5 teams and only the 4th time in history.

They have earned the right to be a little confident unlike another new addition to the SEC.

We won the east and finished ranked 5th, an eyelash away from 4th, which was another east team.

The teams that are telling us we have no right shite all over themselves.

I just read the opening post, not the whole thread, and really don't like or hate mizzou. What is damn close to a FACT is that they got to skip LSU, bama and auburn in the regular season last year. If they play any or all of those boys, they don't get to atlanta.
