Matty doesn't make that horrible pass directly to a defender if his head was on right. And Julio and Roddy don't drop this many balls if their head's were on right either. But they're not. And I don't blame them one bit.
They have lost faith in this coaching staff, and rightly so. TD, Smith, and Keotter have proven to be inept and the players absolutely know this right now. And as a result, they can't dial in because they don't believe in the process any longer.
It's time for a change. And I wouldn't wait if I were Blank, but unfortunately he will because that's his M.O.

They should have left Smith in London. Who do you go after if you're Dimitroff? Do you go the retread route like Tampa Bay did with Lovie Smith? Hotshot coordinator? Hotshot college coach?

Blank wont do a thing, but if I had my choice they'd get Gruden out of the broadcast booth.

Smith and TD are gone IMO. I just hope we can replace them with competent people that can evaluate talent properly

Him or Harbaugh. I'd be happy.

Michigan & UF fans think he's headed back to CFB...
ETA:... The coons are just a notch above CFB...

Do you guys think Sumlin would be a good hire or no?

No. Truthfully I'm not convinced he'll last another 3-4 years at aTm. All flash, no emphasis on defense and lines of scrimmage. Falcons already have that.

That's debatable

Hell no. Our D is bad enough as it is

Shoot TD now. Let McKay and staff take over. Start search for new GM to be hired after season unless you can attract the likes of Cohwer/Gruden to do both jobs. Let the new GM hire the new coach and bring his people in.

I can't believe this thread is still stuck on the front page.... The Falcons season was over the moment after they beat then hapless Tampa Bay a month or so back.

There's a CBS report out now that basically says Mike Smith is out after the season and Blank wants a big name coach.

Who's a big name that's available?
Will the take Richt?

I want Atlanta to at least call Harbaugh after SF fires him. The name Rex Ryan came up in the article.

Would be an amazing hire

Would be an awesome hire. But you'd almost have to hire Harbaugh first and then find a GM who is ready to work with him. Not that I find that to be an issue.
