Meh, as long as the check clears for the AD.

This guy LINK is in charge of programming, he's Harvard, probably as relevant as the studio being in N.C(ie none at all).

but look at this, pay particular attention to slides 13,16,and 22, this is why there will be so many eyes on this, the SECN will dwarf every other college network, and has the potential to be as big as any channel ESPN has.

The one thing I have heard, regarding TV in general, is the big advantage sports has. People DVR more and more, simply to avoid commercials. This impact advertising dollars tremendously. But sporting events, especially college and NFL games, is the one thing people want to watch live. It's not quite the same if you already know the outcome of the game. TV contracts for football will dwarf everything else, for sure.

Foxsports is saying that the first year earnings could be as high as 650 million.

well if you looked at the charts I pointed out in my last post, the only sports venue more popular than combined college(mostly football/basketball), is the NFL, and the ratings they showed had the SEC dwarfing all the other college ratings. So yea, Disney/ESPN obviously sees the goldmine staring them in the face.

Very interesting data in that second link. Nice work.

Where the hell did you get it? It reads like a sales brochure.

One of the longhorn network's more prominent announcers when it comes to softball is an aggie pitcher, Amanda Scarborough.

As long as ESPN doesn't hold the SEC Network hostage to get more providers to pick up LHN, it doesn't bother me.

That's a good point. Screw recording a game unless it's to rewatch it again. I'll do whatever it takes to watch my football live. That includes Saturdays and Sundays

Thanks,, that's pretty much what it is, I think they(ESPN)used it to sell the SECN concept to their parent co., Disney.

good point, one of the reasons that might be a concern about who is running the show, we don't want SECN dollars being used to prop up a failing LHN.
See, you're right on target with that question, or answer, whatever it is, and that's exactly one of the reasons I made the OP in the first place.

I know I don't have to explain to a lot of the Aggies how letting a bevo call the shots can work out.
