Playing football for PT tomorrow so I'm looking forward to that.

Those are always the best PT sessions. Not playing football this year, but working on strengthening my ankle for basketball season.

Hurts like a bitch right now, but I'm making good progress.

My fatass ain't cutout for the ironworker life.

I wore a 60-70lb harness full of tools and shite for 5 hours while working before I was tasked with going up an 80ft vertical ladder with the harness still on.

That shite is NOT for me. I definitely wasn't the only one either. Four people had already quit, one quit after I said frick this, and one guy was hospitalized. This is just within the 12 people that got hired with me.

I'm hopefully going back to the armory. That job was the tits.

I don't feel too terrible about it. I just felt weak as shite and realized I need to get in better shape.

ETA: I made it 35ft up the ladder, if anyone is curious.

I seriously have a newfound respect for ironworkers. That's a tough arse job.

The trainers told us that 1 out of every 10 apprentice actually sticks with it, and they only need 6 of us but they hired 13 with anticipation that a lot of us would quit.

I definitely believe them now.

That's pretty impressive.

It's been out of necessity that they could swim early. My parents have a pool, and we go to the lake most weekends in the summer.

We get some worried looks from parents when they see our 4 year old jump in the pool or ocean without floaties.

I was mortified by her today. She goes up to an older lady with what appeared to be Downs Syndrome and said "You look kinda weird." I immediately said "No she doesn't, she's beautiful."

SOOOOOO much water. I felt I may have actually drank too much too quick. Felt like I was going to puke.

Doesn't sound like enough. You probably should have tried to drink more water.

I hate to laugh about that but that's funny as hell. Classic awkward seal situation.
