This is why Walmart sucks. They generally hire the shittiest employees that have shitty work ethic and it shows in how dirty their stores are. I'd rather pay a little more at Publix where at least the employees act like they enjoy me being there spending my money.
Exactly. I've never been in a Wal-Mart where things weren't in some kind of order and the employees acted appreciative of your shopping there.

How many hours does the average Wal-Mart employee have a week? What kind of health benefits do they receive?
I would imagine those numbers would be skewed quite a bit.
Our local Walmart Market and Super Centers are loaded with college age students who can't work full time. So I would imagine 25-30 hours per week is the average.
I own some things here in Fayetteville and I don't work anyone over 30 per week. Does that make me a bad business?

Costco is the best. I know I'm still buying things manufactured elsewhere, but at least they pay their employees well.

Publix
A great grocery store, with excellent customer service. I buy all my groceries there, yeah I pay a little more, but it's worth it for me.

Yet, you've just complained about what their workers are paid, now you talk about there not being good employees?

Just my observation, but in the last 5 years, Walmart seems to have decided to understaff their stores. It has become difficult to find anyone to help you, very few checkout lines are open and shelves don't seem to be stocked. They seem to be following the Kmart model of dirty stores, crappy customer service and lack of products.

So if you're not getting paid what you think you deserve, you should be a shite employee?

Have they pushed out that much in mom and pops with their stores?
Mom n Pop stores were hated before Walmart. Overpriced, minimum wage for workers and poor selection.

perhaps that has something to do with the location b/c the walmart stores here aren't dirty and generally not in disarray either. they do bring out the backwoods folks at times but other than that maybe it's the shitty people where the stores are located.

Perhaps, but it is the case for every Walmart I've been in over the last 10-15 years, across several states.

I'm assuming you live in Arkansas so how much do you think that having clean, well stocked stores is related to the corporate offices being in NWA?

Perhaps it's the type of people who live in your area?
I stated that you, in one post talked down to Walmart about their pay and benefits to employees. Yet in another post, you talk about how bad their employees are.
So which is it? Should they pay bad employees more money? If so, how smart is that?

You're in the founding city/area of Wal-Mart. Of course it's going to be the best.

you mustn't hate them too badly if you're traveling around checking out walmart stores.

If you're an employee for a company, it doesn't matter what you are paid, you should be the best employee you can be. If you're not, you're a sack of shite

oh that's quite possibly the reason yes, or it could be the people and the general work ethic of the areas.

How is it Arkansas seems to be the only place with a decent Walmart? Are you suggesting Arkansas is the only place with decent lower wage workers?
I've been to them in Florida, Mississippi, and Kentucky and it's all the same story even if in varying levels of suckage.

I never said I hated Walmart. I think their stores suck for the reasons I listed - shitty employees, dirty stores, long lines to check out, etc. I avoid shopping there as much as possible, but sometimes it's unavoidable.
