Never. Only time I ever eat at one of those places is Taco Bell when I'm drunk.

So, it appears your plan to say I do use big businesses has backfired.

Walmart has the lowest price and that's the main thing I look for. Walmart and Amazon for me because I'm cheap.

I also avoid big box stores like the plague. Too much hassle. WM is blazing into smaller, more urban stores, too.

Prices are about distribution capabilities, especially when it comes to groceries. WM has expanded local produce options and gotten heavy into organics. If there was a Walgreens-sized WM grocery within a 1/4 mile of my home, it would get all my business.

I think WM's U.S made goods push will be good for Arkansas and for the south in general, because the south is ripe for manufacturing jobs.

Walmart has shitty service, long lines, gross produce, nasty meat, and cheap (quality and price) goods. The ones in BR are also smell bad, are often filled with annoying people, and come with the added risk of catching a stray bullet in the parking lot after dark. Why would I shop there?

I don't hate their smaller neighborhood market stores as much, but I still don't buy produce from them.

The vast majority of people only give a shite about the price they get.

It's certainly not impossible to never shop at Walmart. Because I haven't in a long, long time.

And kingbob is spot on. Half the Walmart's in the city of Louisville have had to change their hours from 24 hour stores because of the rate of theft. Their security is as shitty as their service and product.

The only major company I shopped at in college was Kroger. Love that place.

Not sure where he lives...but it's definitely possible to only shop for your groceries at farmer's markets in Atlanta.

it is, they've also greatly improved the quality of their meat selection.

i'm never going to hate walmart- i know too many people who've made good $$ with either stock or moving their way up the company.

Of course it is.

You probably ate at a large chain restaurant in the last 30 days. No online shopping ever, that hurts all the local vendors? You wear Nike brand anything? What about Under Armour? Still supporting the "man" by purchasing those.

So, you wear Jesus sandles made by your local cobbler, wear clothes daily made by your local seamstress, eat only at the local dinner, get fuel from the local gas station $0.30 higher that's on the corner, use only a local pharmacy for medication.....yes, I'll call bullshite

Their sushi game is strong for the price. Good quick meal.

That was actually my lunch a couple of days ago

It's a shame more people don't shop at farmer's markets. The produce is always top notch and they regularly have cheaper priced/better quality product then any of the box stores.

We have a couple places around Louisville that do co-ops where you can get bushels of seasonal produce every week for a monthly rate. If I wasn't cooking for just myself regularly I'd love to do it.

Nope. Cook almost everything I eat and only ate out a few times at local restaurants.

Yep

Only things you have me on are gas and some clothes. Everything else is local. Why is that so hard to comprehend?

Walmart's greatness died with Sam. Now they are just another evil corp exploiting slave labor overseas and promoting corporate fascism at home.
