I think you missed the joke

That aside, breaking in a new starting QB is definitely a reason to be skeptical of UGA, at least. Thompson has been around awhile so I'm sure he'll be fine, but Murray has been such a mainstay at UGA and I don't think it'll be easy to replace him.

And Driskel is going to break out in the new offense. Just wait and see.

I don't disagree with this at all, but I think most non-UGA fans are selling Mason a little short. He's not just some scrub that's been riding the pine because he sucks. He just had to sit behind one of the better QBs the SEC has ever seen. I think he'll surprise a lot of people this year. He doesn't have to be great, just a little better than average for our offense to be successful.

Also, I may be going out on a limb here, but it wouldn't have surprised me if Mason could have started at other SEC schools during the time he spent waiting on Murray to leave.
