Thornton was back at practice today without contact... I know... without contact... wtf? It's basketball unless fox allows them to put some pads on. Nevertheless, he should be good to go on Saturday. This is by far, the biggest game of the year. Need to win this one.

I follow Matt Verden... a good guy for recruiting. He seems to believe its a UGA/Baylor battle. He also doesn't want us to give up on Brown. His visit on the 17th could go a long way.

Non contact in basketball for us means shooting, sprints and drills but no "live" scrimmage and drills. Assuming that is what it is saying.
and I read that it is likely Oregon, UCLA and us in no particular order as his top 3. Think we have a legit shot there. Yasir helping in that one. Likely to visit for a home game at some point this season. A good finish, good showing that day and continued efforts maybe we can get him.
Eubanks is very talented. Ideally next year we need another post guy but you take whatever top talent you can and change your style to adjust to it. He is a very talented player.

Still right in it for Jaylen Brown as well. Not favored, think he ends up at a Kentucky r other blue blood, but we are hanging around.

Since Tennessee is coming Saturday, allow me to ask the following childish question: Which Vols coach looks more like a lesbian?
or
Gotta say it's the b-ball coach.

Tickets are secured. Booze is bought. Time to get "I miss football and I'm gonna pretend this is just another noon kickoff in Athens, GA" drunk and rowdy

I'll be in the house too, Hobnail. Looking forward to it. Hope the Steg is rocking.

I believe I will be doing the same thing as you Hobnail.

From Gentry this afternoon...
quote:
Mark Fox today made it sound like Marcus Thornton (concussion) has a shot to be back Saturday against Tennessee. Though he hasn't been cleared yet, Thornton is doing some light work at practice today. That's a good sign.

Vegas must think he is playing. Dawgs are favored by 7. Gotta have this one, I hope our crowd shows up loud and in big numbers.

It's pretty bad. But we are used to bad basketball so whatever.

We just need to keep the ball out of Mann's hands as much as possible.
Their bigs are dominating us right now. Physically and mentally.
