Bama fans sold out Bryant-Denny during the Dubose and Shula stretches. That has to count for something.
We increased Sanford Stadium seating capacity twice during Ray Goff's 7 years...from 82,122 to 85,434 in '91 & from 85,434 to 86,117 in '94...
Top dat...

Consensus? I don't know about that.

Most loyal fans in the SEC are from Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Missouri, and Arkansas.
Fans of these schools have stuck by their team for decades with less than desired success.

Consensus among who? Aggies?

ESPN, college football warehouse, etc. We have 700 wins, a winning percentage above 60, 18 conference championships, a good number of all Americans and draftees, like 35 bowl games, were one of the winningest programs of the 90s

Tennessee has to be #1 or #2.

I like A&M but....

trying to figure out why Vandy is being mentioned. They are in the midst of their most successful period in school history, yet they were 2nd to last in % of capacity attendance in the SEC last year at 88.6%. and last in the SEC in total attendance at just over 35k per game They are not loyal football fans.

They just make the cut on CFDW.

I'm just messing with you. I'm ok with saying that aTm is a top 20-25 program. And it's definitely better than USCe historically.
But I don't know if I'd use the word consensus though.

The majority of lists who rank programs have us at or around 20. I think its OK to say that
Posted on 6/12/14 at 5:31 pm to Korin
What? The SWC was a legit conference
Posted on 6/12/14 at 5:32 pm to WestCoastAg
Because all of those SWC titles sure have helped Arkansas.

Alabama fans claiming they are loyal is fricking laughable. Try going through what OM fans have had to deal with for 50 years and get back to me.
