Don't worry Ags since your part of the SEC now I will always root for you against OOC opponents. No matter how bad your past opponents were or how good/bad your future opponents will be.

This argument loses a lot of water when you realize we have ASU in 2015" UCLA in 2016 and 2017 and Oregon in 2018 and 2019. All were scheduled before the mandate to schedule a major OOC game every year was passed.
that's pretty strong
good for Aggie

I'm much too lazy to research this, but is it possible this in part the result of A&M going to the SEC? If they were scheduled to continue playing arkansas OOC as the marquee before conference games, the move would have ruined that.
I think conferences need to step in and start packaging inter conference pairings the way they do with basketball.
I was unsurprised to find Baylor an even worse offender on this list, but it's my understanding from reading previous articles that Baylor can't get anyone to agree to home and home deals. also TCU, our most legit non conference, became a conference game.
eventually the bad blood and "we'll never play you again" crap will go away between A&M, Mizzou and the B12, but in the meantime, there aren't geographically sensible power conference opponents for A&M to connect with.
As for this thread as a whole... Can any power conference fan look at their teams schedule and say "no cupcakes here, we're lean and mean." ?

Right. Our scheduling practices don't matter in a thread about our scheduling practices

No it doesn't. Just because you "might" play better opponents in the future doesnt take away from what it has been.
You dont understand how switching conferences works.
We were hamstrung by the conference switch and have been scrambling to fill our OOC schedule for three years. We have an outstanding OOC slate coming up, it just took time to get deals worked out.

I can see a year or maybe two, but this will be the third year in a row with no big teams OOC. That is on purpose.

We were supposed to play USC this coming year and they backed out two years ago.

What aTm has lined up for '15 and moving forward is solid and impressive.
I am inclined to give them a pass on this.
Plus, if the Long(w)hor(e)ns woulod quit acting like little bitches, this problem would take care of itself

TCU during the Andy Dalton days were pretty dominate.
I would like to see A&M/Texas and Mizzou/Nebraska playing again.
A lot of Big 12 teams are listed. Do you think that had to do with the possibility of the conference completely splitting? Teams trying to make themselves look better in case they needed to find a new conference.

So many people who know so much about the inner workings of our athletic department.
It would be great to log onto this board one day and see that people's personal insecurities have been checked at the door.

Could be, I suspect its probably more direct financial reasons-- b12 went to 9 game schedule, perhaps games they were most able to drop was the games against big 5 opponents.
I've seen some people (elsewhere) argue that because b12 plays 9 conference, whereas acc b10 and sec only play 8, that a b12 team having 3 nonconference cupcakes is the same as an sec team having 3 cupcakes and 1 legit non conf. To be clear, that argument is garbage in my opinion. If I had my way FBS teams would all schedule top100 exclusively.
Schools just don't have enough to gain currently to schedule tough. They need to be pushed to it by advertisers or the committee

I think they will make OOC scheduling a factor in the future. Just my opinion though.

I know you don't care, but what do ulyou think happened in 2011 after we had agreed to a 10 yr game with arky in Dallas?
FIFY.
I still don't get why aggy tries to use that game as an excuse for their week OOC scheduling. We were also had that OOC matchup disappear by your move and had no problem find other P5 schools for 2012, 2013, 2014, and so on.

Oh, we're counting Rutgers now?

are you talking about Rutgers, So Miss or Tulsa?
I mean, congrats on getting the Red Raiders this year, but Oregon and UCLA are just a little more impressive...

Who does aggy play this year? Oregon or UCLA?
Rutgers is still a P5 school scheduled on short notice to replace aggy OOC, something aggy says they were unable to to because of time constraints.
TTU same deal, short notice on scheduling.
We have also added Michigan and have TCU and Texas in the upcoming years.

which P5 conference was Rutgers in last year?
