Serious question: What is up with Louisiana recruits and weed?

In just the last four or five years, A&M has had six LA players busted for weed (among other things). Texas has had three, OU at least one and LSU has had many a player busted. Given the relatively low numbers of LA players on every team but LSU, thats at least enough to raise an eyebrow.
I realize most college players smoke, but it is strange that no matter where they go Louisiana players seem to get caught more than others.

A lot of thugs may smoke weed, but the majority of weed smokers are not thugs.

Weed is smoked by people in all strata of society. People who smoke are much more interesting than drinkers and usually seem to be more intelligent despite the stereotypes. It will be as acceptable as beer within a decade.

The vast majority of the ones that head west are ones we passed on because they smoked too much weed.
