I guess the ones who went to A&M were stupid enough to get caught before they even started school there.

Weed is part of the culture in Louisiana. If it was legal you'd see more people doing bong hits at tailgates than you'd see people doing keg stands.

Just imagine "Farmer Fran" from the Waterboy high on weed and see if you can understand him.

Well, not to :beatdeadhorse: , but I don't seem to see the same number of LSU players getting kicked off for weed...or much of anything else.

We run off enough players...and starters at that...so the rest of the team gets the message. It's why (knocks on wood) LSU is never high in the Fulmer Cup standings.

It could be that A) Your player evaluation isn't thorough enough, or B) Your team needs more discipline.

Just sayin'

The better question is why do they get caught?

Tennessee and Kentucky, for example, are two of the largest producers of MJ in the country only Cali produces more and not by much (given the difference in size that's fairly amazing). Not only do we grow good weed but we as population smoke it a LOT and it cuts across age groups. And with that kind of mj culture around there's no way players are just abstaining.

It's more rare to meet someone who has never tried it than someone who smokes regularly - doesn't matter if they're 60+ or 16. Hell where I grew up, which was a major distribution point, upper middle class parents were selling it on the side and they still do! Kids even grew weed in the school greenhouse - the school tore it up but still.

In CFB, the vast majority of players are smoking weed (just like every other student on campus) but the vast majority doesn't get busted by the law or by the schools.

I could name around 35 people I worked with at my last job who smoked weed (I was only there two years). It was harder not finding people who smoked weed. I'm talking from as young as 21 to as old as in there 50s. I'm talking black, white, spanish, oriental, male, female, you name it.

I don't know about other places, but Louisiana loves it some weed.
