I'd also like to note that the fact they have season ticket ads and deals going on (240 for 6 games? Lol) the season after a natty reflects pretty poorly on their fanbase

I always thought FSU had a strong fanbase until I saw how empty their stadium is 3-4 times a year. When they arent playing Florida, Miami or a ranked ACC team there are easily 10k+ empty seats.

Really, FSU?

Not even a subtle trademark violation. Apparently they think that because Seattle has permission that it's open season.

I don't care how much money it makes us, personally I'd like to see the Seattle usage put to an end.

Not a good idea. They fight back and it could invalidate the trademark. They have the money, and honestly we don't have the most solid legal footing.

Better that they license, forces everyone below an NFL team (so everyone) to license.

It's not a money thing, it's a matter of being able to control it and not lose the trademark altogether.

As mentioned, I don't think its about money at all. It is about strengthening our claim to the trademark. Having another party acknowledge our ownership of the term through payment will be huge should we ever have to defend it in court.
