Im seeing RPIs of 13 for Ole Miss and 8 for USCe

I'd have UVA, Miami, FSU, UF, ULL, Ole Miss, Indiana and Oregon State as national seeds as of now.

With S Carolina, TCU and Vandy right there as well.

As far as hosting goes..Rice and Houston barely hosting as of now. With LSU and Louisville right behind them.

Not an rpi expert but I think you are expecting an unrealistic movement in rpi. It's not about Ole Miss v. Carolina. It's about the 7 or so teams with a lower rpi than Ole Miss.
