What position do you think he'll play?
With the stable there is at RB, does he slip into the slot? Or does Pruitt try to use him in the secondary?
What say you GSB?

Does he have an offer from UGA at this time?

Not sure. There was some discussion in the recruiting thread. Didn't want to jumble it up. It gets off topic enough as is.

Well, we need receivers. Does he have good hands?

RB. I'm not sure if he officially has an offer, but UGA's made it pretty clear that they want him. If he tried to commit, the staff probably would accept that commitment.

He would be an EE, right?

Nevermind.... Crow broke it down for me with actual facts...

He's had an offer from UGA, he should have never gone to the gumps. He will play running back but he'll have to sit out this year per NCAA rules or go the juco route. The problem with juco is high school Gus at the Barn roams the juco sidewalks like a pervert at elementary school. He'll end up at the barn if it's the juco route. He doesn't seem to be the brightest bulb in the box. Let it play out.

He's in JUCO right now. He redshirted last year at Bama. He could play at Hutch this season, enroll at UGA in December, participate in spring practice, and not have to sit out another year.
He'll have 3 seasons of eligibility left.

Wasn't he arrested last week?

He got arrested for a suspended license a few months back. He'll fit right in

So, he would be in competition in the backfield with Marshall, Michel, Chubb, Turman, ROWK, and whomever else we draft this year?

If I had to guess, we might only take one back this year, and Kamara would be the guy. He would have a good shot at pt since his skillset is different than anyone UGA has currently
We're getting negative recruited hard with other RB targets about our depth, and UGA won't take just some filler RB.

Makes sense. Thanks for you input.

This. He is being recruited as a RB all the way.
And he may be our best shot at a top notch RB given our depth at the moment. Just hope he fits in better with us than he did at Bama.

If Bama has shown anything you need to be able to roll RBs out in mass in the college game. He isn't coming in this season. After this year Gurley will be gone.
How many times did UGA rely heavily on the 4th string RB to play significant snaps last season? Alot between the injuries to Marshall and Gurley. Kamara isn't buried all that deep when he steps foot on campus.
In fact if Kamara had chosen UGA IMO he would have gotten significant PT last season. You've added Chubb and Michel since then and once again IMO Gurley will have a fantastic year next season and leave early as most great RBs do.
It's all a wash for PT.

What's the chance he could make grades at UGA?
I know people can turn a new leaf, but if he had distractions in tuscaloosa it would only be magnified ten fold in Athens.
I think he fits the auburn profile more so than anywhere else.
He just has to play football on the plains as they hire someone else to take the basket weaving classes until he turns pro.

Grades have never been an issue with him

I don't know Alvin Kamara personally which makes me wonder why you would say such a thing about him. Apparently you do.

I think Kamara is over-hyped as a runningback.
I like him because he has a connection with Brice Ramsey. He can do some things in space with the ball in his hand (like a lot of tailbacks). But i don't think he'd see the success that JJ Green had.
If we take him, I like him to replace someone who may transfer (it could happen).
Without a transfer, I like the idea of bringing in speedy guys that are younger.
