and institute some hard arse "if you're the next person to screw up you're gone regardless of who you are" rules?

These arrests are starting to be really concerning.

Outside of a marijuana possession charge against two players, we haven't had anyone arrested for anything other than a class c offense. They are only findable offenses and the cops are being dicks making arrests on them.

I'm not sure how it should be handled. I think if we start suspending players for the USC game based on class c offenses (ie a speeding ticket) then I have a problem with that. It's not merited.

I really don't care about this stuff unless the charges are stealing, arson, or violent crimes.

No. Such a policy would be a gross overreaction. The various arrests don't concern me as the misdemeanors were of the non-violent variety.

Sumlin is handling things accordingly. See how he dealt with the Kameron Miles situation.

If Sumlin ever decided to coddle sex offenders and put personnel matters up for a team vote, then I'd be worried.

No (re: a Northgate ban).
Knee-jerk reactions like that remind me of those from "gun control" folks (i.e., a shooting means we ought to ban guns).
But the players need to check themselves.

It's definitely concerning but until something really bad happens I don't think a ban is warranted. Some internal leadership from some seniors about being more responsible on the weekends would go a long way I think
