I've been contemplating whether to see this movie or not. The ratings are bad, as they are with a lot of Christian movies. I've read the story line and it sounds like it has potential, and I've heard nothing but good stuff from other people. What were your opinions on it?

If you're Christian you'll probably like it. If not them you probably won't.

In my honest opinion, you should take this question to the Movie Board you piece of wrong board thread starting shite

I'm a Christian and there's no way I'm wasting my money or time watching it.

Noah is better and more accurate.

Watch Facing the Giants first. Then stick a fork in an electrical socket to help ease the pain.

We took our youth group to watch it and we all enjoyed the movie. It is not as corny as most of that genre are. If you have kids it could bring a tear to your eye.

this movie is basically propaganda

I was invited to see it tonight and I found it to be surprisingly good. I knew the message would be good but the story and acting were both really well done. It was a little cheesy but not even in the same galaxy as facing the giants.
I'd recommend it.

The entire premise of the movie is absurd. Any professor that did something like that would be fired immediately.

I'll probably get around to watching it eventually, but it's not at the top of my list (and yes, I'm a christian). If it's too corny, I won't enjoy it k and a lot of Christian movies are, unfortunately.
I think the best Christian movie I've seen (I.e., decent acting/not too corny) was The Climb which cane out in 2002 I believe. Every christian movie I see I stack up against that and most come up well short.
Probably see Noah well before GND.
The Newsboys' song by the same name is good, though

I haven't seen it and I am not planning to see it. Ever.
That having been said, a co-worker of mine said she kind of blundered into the movie and she absolutely loved it, fwiw.
She's not a Christian, at least from what I can tell. Said it was surprisingly good.
TIFWIW.

I saw Dogma, God wasn't dead in that movie... he was just disguised as an old man playing skee ball who got beat up by some demon street hockey players and was in a coma... Luckily Jay and Silent Bob saved the day and God did die, went to Heaven, and then came back as Alanis Morissette to kick some arse and take some names. Pretty Awesome movie...
