Pick another time and place to do a meaningless protest. Graduation weekend is a weekend of celebration and family. Not for some protest that won't get anything done except annoy people.

Yes, those who dare to question or disagree with authority should be punished with impunity. Even if they're protesting a relatively heinous and unpopular law with a respectful show of support for their fellow Mississippians. That's what they deserve for believing in basic human dignity and justice.

Just because it annoys you shouldn't preclude them from graduating. If they've completed the academic requirements then they shouldn't be stopped, particularly f they're just exercising their first amendment rights.

There's a time and place for doing stuff like that. Graduation weekend is not the time or place for it.
