You'd be deemed an aggy troll by the brain trust of 14 year olds.

Glad to hear we're a hot commodity.

I cannot hardly keep up with who is in the Big 12 other than the Okies and the Texies, that conference seems to lose or gain members every year.

Their realignment board was "The SEC kind of offered" or something like that. Just like their recruiting board- "RC (Slocum) didn't offer"

At first, it was "The SEC didn't offer" when they thought mean ol aggy wasn't an attractive addition to the sec. Then they once again moved the goal-posts when they were proven wrong.

I'd be recognized. They'd think I'm gay and fixate. And that's one of you Aggie's fault.

I also can't see WVU staying in the Big 12 for too long, that decision seemed to be made quickly by both parties in a panic to not get left behind but the logistics of them being in that conference are absurd.
I agree it was a rushed decision, but WVU's only hope of leaving the Big 12 is if someone else leaves the ACC. Even then the ACC might pick Cincinnati over WVU to add the Ohio market. WVU only adds the Pittsburgh market, which the ACC already has.

Big 12 should have added Louisville. They fricked that up bad
Yep. They were being indecisive and catering to UT and OU's desire to stay at 10 teams with no title game. Instead they could have added WVU, Louisville, and Cincinnati, which would have given all 3 teams natural rivals. Would have added basketball and football quality, while also expanding into Ohio, Pittsburgh, and the Louisville/Lexington markets.

Any new grumblings on conference expansion ?
They are probably mistaking our vocal coach and AD on scheduling (bridge and permanent) as something more than it is.
nah ... it's texas ... they think they could reverse the magnetism of the earth since they have so much money and all ...

The Big 12 execs would blow a load if they thought they could grab LSU.

It's a complete joke of a conference, run by one school and a bunch of state politicians. Easily the least prestigious of the Big 5. There is no other conference in the country whose existence relies solely on whether one school decides to stay or go.

Yea, it's pretty much the horns and their nine serfs. Kind of an embarrassing situation for the 9 schools not named Texas. It's clear they have no other options than being the tsip's indentured servants.

I gave up on limiting myself to women that shave their legs years ago. But I cannot come if Bama is not in the playoffs.

I wouldn't mind adding WVU. Would add the DC market with their out of state student body
Not really. DC is full of alumni from everywhere. Adding WVU would not put DC in the SEC footprint to the extent needed to charge DC subscribers the insane numbers the SEC Network is asking. It would add the state and Pittsburgh possibly, but not DC.

Yeah but is there a school anywhere whose fans would jizz themselves more than WVU if the SEC were to extend an invite? I don't think so.

A North Carolina school would be ideal, but with the GOR it won't happen.

WVU is full of northeastern weirdos. Do not want

They would have had to add WVU in place of Colorado too obviously, but I disagree. That conference was a sinking ship and it was only a matter of time
Nebraska was gone as that deal was done as the Huskers had tried to join the B1G twice before.
Big 12
- Nebraska
+ Louisville
still at 12
Colorado only jumped because they moved early to stop Baylor from trying to jump with the PAC 16 block. Granted the Buffs make more sense in the PAC, but would they have jumped as quickly if the Big 12 was back at 12 immediately with a replacement for Nebraska?
Even so...
Big 12
- Colorado
+ West Virginia
Since Utah was the other PAC add, not like it affected the Big 12 or Big 10. So at that point you have a stable PAC 12, a stable B1G 12, a stable Big 12, a stable SEC, and a stable ACC. Nebraska was the only brand name that moved in realignment and the only other brand coveted by the B1G - who started realignment in the 90's and in 2009 - was Notre Dame so what pushes any conference to go past 12?
Look at the Big 12 before Nebraska left
12 schools, #2 football (3 solid brand names in football - Texas, Oklahoma, and Nebraska), Kansas in basketball, and 7 AAU schools. It is not like Colorado was a brand name in football or basketball and even with both gone you still had 5 AAU schools. Adding Louisville and West Virginia did no academic favors, but at least UL brought value in basketball and WVU brought value in football. With those two keeping it at 12, you do not have to add TCU and adding solid schools in the North probably keeps Mizzou in the fold after they got left at the altar by the B1G.
Mizzou could form a voting block of non TX and OK schools (MU, UL, WVU, KSU, FU, ISU) = 6 votes and that is enough to stall the folks in austin a norman from have monopoly power.

GOR has nothing to do with it.
ESPN has the SEC and ACC. Skipper is a UNC guy and Slive is a UVA guy. Neither wanted to see the ACC fold so my guess is there was a gentlemen's agreement for the SEC not to poach the ACC. When TAMU was #13 and VPI was not #14 you knew that the ACC was not worried about any school going to the SEC. Slive and the SEC was in essence their firewall to prevent the B1G from poaching the ACC.
