Well with Louisville and Maryland set to switch conferences I wouldn't be surprised if those conferences find replacements. Though I guess Louisville might be Maryland's? Can't remember what happened first.
I also can't see WVU staying in the Big 12 for too long, that decision seemed to be made quickly by both parties in a panic to not get left behind but the logistics of them being in that conference are absurd.

Probably not for the SEC
With the ACC's new exit fee, it'll be hard. The Big 12 will add more teams just to get a conference championship.
It'll be interesting to see where the American Conference goes

WVU doesn't have anywhere else to go, really. The ACC, SEC, and B1G don't want them

practical or not the GOR agreements for several conferences have made change impractical - so for the near term don't look for any major programs to change

They really should have added Louisville instead of TCU to make that WV addition a little more sensible. They could then add Cincy (still can) as well plus one more to get back to 12

Maybe they can step down into the AAC and become a conference powerhouse. 
(Which I know they'd never do with this playoff format coming up)

Impossible really. How can no income be overcome over a period of several years? The B12 snatching crumbs somewhere is about it.
The B12 is about it and no one trusts Texas.

I remember when they were gonna get Florida State. Now they'll probably end up with USF or UCF if they do expand
