I'm not against running any offense, but this style of play is about taking advantage of a rule change in 2008, and the people that like that Offense are squawking because other teams want the rules changed so it can't be taken advantage of like is now. Simple enough.
What rule are they taking advantage of?

If the HUNH was ineffective before the rule change in 2008, then explain why Tulsa, Missouri, Oregon, TTU, Oklahoma State, all finished inside the top 10 in total offense in 2007?

This thread is still going on? Jesus.
joey, I don't know why you waste your time with statistics, logic, reason, or any other form of data with these cats. Their head coach has offered an opinion on the matter, so you might as well be talking to a brick wall.

So how are they taking advantage? Again what rule are they taking advantage? Can you state it? What's the advantage?

And I want to see what other route this idiot wants to go when any research into the HUNH shows it was effective well before this 40/25 sec rule change in 2008.
What will the excuse be next time?

They're taking advantage of it to try and limit defensive substitutions as much as possible. Prior to 2008, when a play ended the officials would get the officiating crew set, teams would substitute, and then blow the whistle for a 25 second clock to start the play. Then they went to this 40 second clock rule. The play began when the previous play had been blown dead. Some coaches figured out that you could get the ball into play so quickly that defensive teams had substitution problems, but you had to have the cooperation of the officials to do it. Watch how much faster the officials get the ball into play when a HUNH team is on offense. Their officiating suffers because of this. So, to fix this, the officials need to go at the same methodical pace for whatever type of offense is on the field, or go back to pre-2008 clock rules. That rule change changed the nature of the game, favoring the offense, and some coaches are taking advantage of it. It's like Saban said, they need to figure out what type of game they want. They want everybody going to a HUNH with the rules we have now? You WILL see a lot more injuries, and a totally changed street ball game.

Lord you believe this
Still trying to figure out the advantage. What exact advantage do they have?
You keep typing a bunch of bs, but haven't stated an advantage yet? And what rule?

Let's get you on the record. If Alabama is down by 4 with no TO's and 1 minute left in the game, you want the officials to go at the same methodical pace as they did at the beginning of the game?
Waiting......
