Convince me to put Florida in the Final Four in my bracket

Obviously the brackets haven't come out yet so we won't know matchups and what not but I don't see myself putting the Gators in the Final Four. They are a great team, but I don't think they've faced the competition these past few weeks that will prepare them for the tournament.
I think the Gators should thank the rest of the SEC for sucking at bball to give them a chance to be ranked #1 and giving them false hope.

Depends on who is in their bracket first!

Teams with good point guards that have the ability to penetrate and pass hurt Florida because UF likes to double team and help so someone is always open, so if the PG is good enough, you can find a lot of open guys against Florida.
Memphis gave UF trouble because of their excellent dribble penetration and assists off of dribble drives.
That being said, even with a PG, the rest of the team HAS to knock down shots. Bottom line. Even then, it'll be close. No one is blowing Florida out. Any defeat will be close.
The team that beats UF also has to be very good on defense, because despite the low scoring numbers, UF is in the top 20 in offensive efficiency in the nation, so UF will score enough points to stay in games.
UF has also not been very strong guarding the 3 lately.
That being said, UF is clutch. It'll be hard to knock em out. Especially playing most of their games in front of friendly crowds in the South East.

UF has played a strong enough OOC schedule to justify the ranking, not to mention we are talking about a team full of players that have been to 3 straight Elite 8's. They know how to win in the tournament.

I think Nik Stauskas just hit another 3

Our 15th-ranked schedule has left us completely unprepared, I'm sure.
We haven't lost a game at full strength all season.

Unlike the past few years, we actually close out tough games.

FWIW, I'm excited to see y'all tonight in action vs USC. (I fully expect a beatdown of epic proportions but we have nothing to lose so oh well)

lol a SC fan tryna belittle Florida Basketball. Just be ready to watch a beatdown tonight like you said, and pray South Carolina will ever HALF the team Florida is in the foreseeable future

I have a better idea, don't put them in and then start a post bitching about how they ruined your bracket when they do.

I expect that we will be in the same bracket as Michigan, the committee tends to do rematches for some reason.
McGary isn't there anymore, our defense is much better this year. I would like to see it happen, I was in Dallas last year, and was very disappointed at the game Eric Murphy had. I expect we play a lot better against Michigan if there is a rematch.

Arkansas is the only SEC team that really gave Donovan and his crew trouble.
Seeing that game, it seemed like a team that can make their defense collapse inside then kick it out will have success. Now, part of kicking it out is being able to hit the three as well.
Also needs to be a team that can spread it around. Arkansas had 5 guys in double figures against Florida. You can't allow them to key on one guy.
Also, make free throws. Had Arkansas done that Florida is 16-1 in league play right now.

Also, I'll have Florida in my Final four most likely.
Florida is a mismatch for most teams in the country. Wilbeken(sp) is a premier defender IMO and premier pg on the offensive side. They've also started to get good contribution from their 6th and 7th guys off the bench.

We've played very well OOC and that was early on with suspensions and injuries.

Guard play is always the x-factor in the tournament. All depends on whoever is handling the ball for the Gators down the court.

They are likely the best team in the country.
