The problem with that strategy is that if you don't hit the jackpot (National Championship) then you are left to start over again with new players. The way Cal recruits, he doesn't go after 4 year guys.

UF lost to Wisconsin without Wilbekin or DFS. We didn't have Wilbekin for the last three minutes of the UConn game.

If they shite the bed in the SEC and NCAA Tourney after losses to Arkansas and USCe

Pat Forde is the biggest Rick Pitino knob gobbler in the media. Anything he writes about Cal or Kentucky should be laughed at and printed off to be used as toilet paper.
He was banned from writing about Kentucky when he was at ESPN.
He bought a round of drinks for his fellow media members when Kentucky lost in the Elite Eight to WVU.
He is upset that Cal owns Pitino.

That all may be true but he brought forth valid criticisms.
I think Forde is a hack most of the time as well, even though he went to Mizzou, but that doesn't take away from some of the valid questions and criticisms he presented.

Not really. Blaming the Ryan Harrow stuff on Cal has literally no base in reality.

This just isn't true
The problem is they just aren't as good as they were supposed to be. They've both had glimpses of being the 5 star guys they came in as, but they just disappear in like 75% of the games.
The criticism Cal needs is that he has put way too big of expectations on the last 2 teams. The All Access on ESPN stuff last season turned out to be a disaster and all of the 40-0/the next fab five stuff this preseason have led to a down season.
