From what I've heard, Sig Ep hasn't had good standing with their nationals recently for some reason I am unaware. I guess the hazing is the straw that broke the camals back.

I've heard that as well. Robert isn't very outspoken. Freeze had a comment about it back in the pre-season. Something like "Denzel is there to let you know how good he is. Robert's just kind of quiet and out there."

I was surprised to see Robert in the article. I could see his role being less than it appears. I don't doubt that he was present but whether or not he was involved is obviously a different story.

When I pledged my fraternity which is predominately black we had to have a 3.0 gpa, at least 60 hours of community service in the year you applied or a school sanctioned extracurricular activity, no felonies, and you had to be a sophomore unless you were legacy or had a sibling in the chapter, and those are just a few but yeah you are going to get hazed quite a bit, my pledge process lasted from January to May.

i know, I'm just saying if he is trying to beat up people for no reason other than they were dressed as a LSU fan then he is a loose cannon and probably did beat a kid.

Denzel is like a fricking cult leader on the square. Everybody just follows and does what he says.

eta: "Everybody" does not necessarily mean football players but rather the people who are with him.

Are Lawson, Curt, pack, Ben, etc. still active?

That's another reason I'm skeptical. He's not very difficult to pick out of a lineup.

I don't think he was as involved either. He needs to control himself on the field but all of the off the field stuff is usually Denzel.

Me either. My comments early in this thread were just pointing out that there wasn't enough evidence for a criminal conviction.

I imagine Robert as the type that would be in the corner crying when the fight ended.

SEC schools do some shady shite, why would it surprise you to see the police department to look the other way when two of their best players are involved?

Denzel was literally arrested for something totally unrelated to this three days ago. That sorta shoots a hole in your "the police are in on it" line, don't you think?

Its an up and down relationship. We had won the chapter home of the year reward like 2 out of the past 6 years and were runner up for the equivalent of best chapter in 2011. Sig Ep nationally embraces a process called "Balanced Man", in which you essentially pledge for 3 years and all members are required to do community service etc.. State, Auburn, Texas, and Oklahoma were essentially the only traditional chapters left and we are slowly being pushed to convert. They get full charter status back in 3 years, so it isn't the end of the world, but that doesn't make it not bullshite.

You need to man. I'll be grilling up some boudin and sausage. Feel free to stop by.

I'm pretty sure only Curt is still active. Curt is really the only one that still comes around. I've seen Lawson at a few get togethers this year though. Haven't seen Pack in a while and I'm not sure which ben you are referring to.

Yea, I heard they won't receive their charter back until all current Sig Eps have graduated. I don't get why y'all nationals bought the house. That's stupid. That house is gonna sit empty for 3 years. Losing a lot of money there.

Denzel was one of my favorite players in 2012 but after seeing how he always acts on the square and frat parties I just cant really support the dude. He's so over the top and obnoxious.

Him not doing shite for us on the field this year doesn't lessen my disdain for him either.

Its because when new houses are built the university owns them, when we built the current house that wasn't the case so our alumni LLC owns the house. It will be rented out to ADP, for at least next year, so there will be some revenue coming in. It was just a better option than selling the house and having to buy or build another in 3 years.
