...of all time? Despite the glorious endings in both the Georgia and Alabama games the season seems empty with the blown opportunity at the end. Does building a big lead in the BCS title game only to lose it with 13 seconds left make the end of the regular season hollow? I'd ask LSU, Florida, Alabama, and Tennessee fans the same question but none of their teams failed to close the deal during any of their team's BCS title game appearances so they probably can't relate.
Are you more proud of the historic turnaround from the previous season or more disappointed in how it ended?

Nothing bitter about it. All sweet. We exceeded all expectations, the teams seemed to enjoy themselves, and the fans enjoyed watching it. Some teams can consider a year a success even without winning the national championship.

The season was a blast. The BCS loss was disappointing, but doesn't take away my enthusiasm for the season as a whole. Looking forward to seasons to come.
Quite satisfied with the turnaround and the way this team performed overall.

step 1. click the search link
step 2. search for one of the literally 30 or 40 threads on this very subject
step 3. read those and get your answer
step 4. sober up and go outside, it is a pretty day.
step 5. get a life and stop melting over the Iron Bowl.

So bama fans admit the 2011 NC should go to the rightful team. #mulligan

Not melting.
It is a beautiful day that I'm looking forward to as is tomorrow which I am off for (President's Day)
Just like there are 50 different threads on the HUNH offense, it won't hurt for there to be another on this subject.

Those are also deals that weren't closed out but they were different in that Bama wasn't seconds away from winning the BCS title game.

The 2013 Auburn team is my favorite Auburn team of all time.
Sucks we didn't win it all but damn, wanting it after that season almost seems greedy.

Not literally seconds, but within grasp at the very end of the season. Same thing if you ask me.
Also can include UGA '12 and LSU '11

Auburn was crowned SEC Champion for the 3rd time in 10 years.
Not sure if this thread is serious or not.

Nothing bittersweet, loved the season, won the SEC, played in the Rosebowl, primed for future success. Having coaches in the SEC west so scared they want the rules changed. GREAT SEASON, one of my all time favorites.

Awesome season. Have most of our players returning too. Lots to be optimistic about.

To be honest, last season is an eye opening moment as a fan. You could read my thread about the "pinnacle" of fandom. It is the runback in the iron bowl or the tipped pass in the DSOR that you can never top. The 2010 NC is 3rd or 4th on the list of my favorite experiences of all time.
Last season was absolutely amazing.

Good answer. I just thought there might be conflicting feelings coming so close to putting the cherry on top of an all time great season.
I wasn't alive the last time Alabama lost a heartbreaker in the national title game itself so I don't have anything to go by. My parents were at that game (1973 Sugar Bowl vs Notre Dame) and they said that lost stung pretty badly.

It did sting for a little after. Not saying I didn't want the natty, but after the initial "frick", looking back on the season is nothing but positive feelings for me.
