But Jones is not the coach Saban is. Not trying to be a homer but what Saban can do with talent Jones has yet shown he can. Both places prior to coming to UT he inherited teams from Kelly that were loaded and coming off great seasons. When Jones arrived at Cincy they just finished their 2nd BCS bowl in 2 years and finished the regular season ranked #3 in the country.

And I love how UT fans love to throw Dooley under the bus and I am not saying he was a good coach, but UT's roster issues that Jones is dealing with actually improved under Dooley who inherited a train wreck dating back to probably the last few years under Fulmer. Dooley may not of brought in the stellar classes but he did clean up the program and get rid of the dead weight that Fulmer and Kiffin had there and brought some discipline to the program. Saban inherited that garbage from Shula where Jones only had to infuse talent.

Again Jones did well recruiting this year and it helped to have so many high ranked legacies and him keeping the best instate, but he still has to show he can win on the field and if UT only wins 5 or 6 this fall you can bet the praises Jones is receiving from fans now will quickly change.

When Jones arrived at Cincy, Pitt was the only team in their conference with fewer returning starters from the prior year. They lost a ton of talent, including their record setting starting QB.

When Jones arrived at UT, he took over a program that finished 5-7 the prior year, only winning 5 games by outscoring people with a high powered offense. From that offense, they lost 4 NFL draft picks, including one that would make the Pro Bowl as a rookie. They also lost their starting QB. He inherited the worst defense in the school's history, and an offense that had lost all of its weapons.

That is complete B.S. to say that Doolely inherited more talent than Saban.
