Everyone knows the 12th man was stolen from A&M.

"Why not us," which we heard them say eighteen times tonight, was stolen from SCAR and the HBC ... Spurrier to SCAR, "Why not us?" 11/22/2004

After hearing Spurrier say it, then seeing a Spurrier led team kick his son's arse twice at NC State, Wilson's Daddy starting asking Russell, "why not you Son? If the Gamecocks can do it, so can you."

Of course, when Wilson tried to transfer to SCAR Spurrier told him thanks but no thanks ... so Wilson ended-up at Wisconsin and it's worked-out well for him.

But the HBC should have trademarked, Why not us?

Eta: Boston Red Sox actually used a facsimile of "why not us" in Oct 2004, which is where Spurrier got it from. LINK

Stolen from A&M? Sure. Stolen from the SEC? Nah, they used that before 2012 when none of us cared for the Ags.

And it worked. Was rooting for Manning but oh well. Hopefully the "why not us?" mentality will keep bringing us better fortune as it has RW and the 'Hawks.

They fly a eagle before their games too. Guess where they got that from.

The 12th man is actually an old soccer credo from England.

A team from the 1800's used it.

Have you trademarked "Why did I start another shitty thread?" yet?

Think how many millions you've been missing out on in royalties...

And the great SCar search for relevance goes on...

You matter, scrooster. You DO matter. I don't care what anyone else says - you are IMPORTANT.

The trademark issue has been put to rest. Seattle is not stealing our trademark. They are under a licensing agreement to use it. They paid. They get to use it. No theft involved.

Now, for those who are claiming that Seattle should own the trademark, you can kiss that one goodbye for 2 reasons:

1. Seattle admitted that A&M owns the trademark by signing the licensing agreement.

2. A&M was using it way before Seattle, despite what Randy Dook says. A&M was referring to itself as the 12th Man in 1939 at the latest. Seattle Seahawks organization was not even in existence until June 4, 1974.

So, frick each and every last one of you motherfrickers. We are the REAL 12th Man.

Has Spurrier figured out why yet, or does he need some help with that.
