Did this need it's own thread?

Do we really need a thread on this tweet? This couldn't be posted in the 4 other Alake threads?

ETA: Someone beat me to it.

I hear you.
But I think the OP intended this as more of a Nick Harvey news item, rather than an Alaka nugget.
But what do I know?

Honestly this is a bigger deal than the commits in some ways. Harvey was a critical keep and with him going to Austin after denying he was going to go up until the last minute looked like a huge flip for Texas.

Sumlin is absolutely destroying Strong right now.

In all seriousness, this is a bit of a relief for Aggie fans because Harvey took a surprise trip to Texas this weekend. We just need to get to signing day already

Super promising but nothing is done until NSD.

I hate that I got into the recruiting side of things.

It will drive a man to drink (more than the current allotment)

Agree about the Sumlin part as of now but we need the next couple of years to really know how its playing out. Sumlin has a 2 year head start with most of those Texas kids. Have to give Strong some kind of time to get acquainted with the kids I would think. Still think Sumlin will win more than he'll lose but I'd like to see Strong get settled in before passing judgement. Those kids no nothing about him right now

Certainly Strong will win some battles and may even completely turn it around, it doesn't look good right now though.

When Mack came in, he immediately turned around recruiting. RC had regularly hammered

The last 3 A&M coaches came in and immediately secured better classes after they were hired as well.

Strong is getting no honeymoon. He's going to have to win and build momentum. Can he do it? Sure, but if he does struggle next year it could get really bad, really fast. He's losing '14 and '15 recruits already.

The already public angst of their big money donors isn't helping his timeline either.

Sucks for Strong. I really like what he seems about.
