This is actually a pretty good class so far. Not flashy but fits the Martin mold. Fills some holes with talent.
I gotta admit I'm surprised Moss didn't end up at Memphis after playing for Hardaway. I remember when Hardaway was still in HS at Memphis Treadwell (Elliot Perry was there right around the same time) and Memphis used to be famous for keeping all of their in-town talent at home.
Hardaway, if I remember correctly, was part of that Orlando Magic rookie team that had Shaq around '96. He's a god in Memphis and I suspect he'll shut down recruiting in Memphis again in short order ... a real hotbed for basketball talent. This might get us in the door in the future somehow as well.
So will Martin find another big man or is he after another guard in this class?

I think we should be fine as far as big men go....we lost 7-footer Gueye but still have 7-footer Cudd for 3 more years and 6-10 Kotsar for 2 more, and we added a 6-8 big to make up for losing Gueye I guess, and Haase is around 6-8, 6-9 himself.
We'll lose Silva after next season, but we're solid with 6-11 2019 center Brandon Stone, so who knows how that goes.
I feel we could use more depth at guard - minus Felder last season we struggled to find another ball handler, and really besides Rak there's no other "true" PG on the roster. Hopefully the staff finds another one of those, and call it a day....

Beatty xferring out...

Honest question, and maybe because I don't follow other schools as much.
But whats happening here? with tons of guys leaving for whatever reason, at the rates we are seeing... does it happen other places?

It is a common thing if a kid, especially one as highly rated as Beatty was, is not getting much playing time ... they'll want out.
Beatty arrived really late, by his own cause, and he never really was all-in with the Martin philosophy.
Justin Minaya (sp) surpassed him and Beatty saw the writing on the wall.

Just picked up a commitment from a grad transfer PG out of Georgetown - Tre Campbell.

And a shitload of our fans are badmouthing him on Twitter. Saying he's a "scrub", "only averaged 3 points a game, why are we bothering?", "This is elite?"...embarrassing to see them acting like that.

So they're taters in disguise right?

Taters are still pissy about that grad transfer Dawn took from them. Leaving tater town to come to Carolina to be a Lady Gamecock. Not something you see everyday.

Frank said in his presser there's good news coming in recruiting that he couldn't talk about just yet. Is he hinting at Christian Brown?

I think he talked Silva into coming back.
He wasn't invited to the combine.
OR MAYBE.... its about Bowen being eligible and he's coming back? Though he was invited to the combine.

Rumors are that possibly it's Teddy Allen, big kid who just recently left West Virginia.
Now, when I say rumors I mean rumors because I have not been able to verify it from any of, what I would call, my reliable sources.
But there is some traction given that Huggy and Martin are best friends and Allen has reached-out to Martin ... no idea if Martin has returned the call but I would think he probably has given other details that are leaking.
Again, who knows.
He'd have to sit out a year I think, even if Huggy were to give him a full release.
I also don't quite understand how, if he couldn't deal with Huggy how he plans on dealing with Martin .... except I was told it was more about playing time after an injury than it was about talent or lack of desire. There were no discipline issues from what I've been told and WVA people are saying he is a great kid and really talented ball player.
If it's not him then I'm not sure who or what it could be.
