Are miserable human beings. Sure, this young man made a mistake and a selfish one at that. However, those of you referring to him as a "thug, "cancer", "waste of a scholarship" are truly despicable.

I will not divulge into the political discourse about regulated marijuana use, that is for a different thread. The fact of the matter remains that some of you want to throw a member of our team under the bus because of a lapse in judgment.

I hope every single one of yall who wants JHC off the team felt just as strongly about Sanders Comings off field transgressions. In case you have forgotten, he struck a woman and was suspended for mere two games. That is right a man who struck a female was suspended for half of the length that JHC was suspended for.

I am not bringing this up as an attempt to justify JHC's actions. Rather,I am bringing this up to ask those calling for JHC's blood if they were just as outraged at Comming's transgressions. I would also like an insight into your logic if you beleive these two offenses to be similar in nature.

....he is not a thug and he doesn't need to be thrown off the team..ridiculously talented...and I think that's the problem with some of those posters...that will happen later this year when he gets his 3rd offense right before we play in the SEC championship game...I kid I kid...,,but seriously,,,he made a stupid mistake that "he" is accountable for...his team will suffer for his transgressions......isn't this his second offense...look, there are consequences of the rules he must abide by...whatever they are..I'm fine with whatever punishment he has to take.....not judging the young man at all...I would smoke pot,,,if I could do it without getting fired or endangering a patient's life..but I can't....

and yes...the situation with Comings was ridiculous...unless...she was trying to steal his pot..

I'm not on any bandwagon but this is his second offense and he needs to straighten the frick up and act right. Maybe not be a complete embarrassment to his family and the team. There's an old saying if the shoe fits wear it.

To those with much given, much is expected!

Thank you.

Did he make a mistake? Yes
Was it against the rules? Yes
Was it selfish? Yes, although you can bet he wasn't the only one
Should he face consequences? Sure. He broke clear rules.
Did he hurt anyone? No
Is this a serious offense in the big picture? No
Does this make him a thug? No

He made a mistake and is being punished severely for it. People who are saying that UGA should hang him out to dry and impact his future career as an example for others need to get a grip.

You know I can actually sympathize with one lapse in judgement but JHC did the same thing last year and missed that Clemson game for the same damn reason. Now he will miss 3 games and the Clemson game again. frick that. Take that scholarship and give it to someone who actually gives a shite about the team and then JHC can go smoke himself into oblivion if he likes. And no, I don't want to hear that crap about pot will be legal in the entire U.S. in 5 years. It's irrelevant. It's illegal now and would be a violation of team rules regardless. Repeat violators of the same rule should be kicked off the team period.

Here's my opinion: he gets a free ride to go college under the stipulation he will play football. He fricked up once and that's forgivable. To miss the start of 2 seasons because he can't not smoke pot when he knows we test often is just insulting to the team.

We could have used him in that tight game against Clemson last year and he decides he still doesn't care and does it again. He doesn't deserve the scholarship we give him.

The dude is a young star at an awesome party school, where some of the finest weed can be found in the state. How can you blame the guy for doing this? shite, let the kids drink and smoke some pot, hell would you rather him fail a drug test for smoking meth? Also, weed can stay in your system far longer than many harder drugs, coke, meth, xanax, etc.

Also, instead of calling for JHC head, why not question UGAs drug policy? I mean almost half of the US, 20 states plus our nations capital, all have legalized medical marijuana. 2 states have legalized marijuana use, this university needs to get with the times. This is 1937 where pot just became illegal. Look at the other schools in teh SEC, for them, the 2nd offense might be a 1 game suspension.....here at UGA we have the strictest drug policies. And these drug policies never work out for us. Look they gonna do drugs and make it in the NFL or do drugs and get kicked off the team and then do what?? frick Richt and his goodie good two shoes! Damn Richt, you ever thought that your lord and saviour baby jesus didnt make this plant for people to smoke? Alcohol is a neurotoxin, weed is great for you! Whats teh problem?

The thing that is bad about this isn't that he smoked weed.

He is a 20 yr old college kid shite happens. The part that pisses me off is he has let his teammates down TWICE!!!

He dont give a shite about his teammates and there is no way you can say he does.

He got in trouble with weed once he did his time, and then he says frick it lets keep doing it.

I would rather we send him on his way and find someone that wants to be there and wants to play for his team.
