That one was just horrible. All the following were thought of having AU "heavily in the mix" leading up to NSD
Eddie Goldman - FSU
Ronald Darby - FSU
Stefon Diggs - Maryland
Kwon Alexander - LSU
Leonard Williams - USC (He was basically a silent up till his OV)
The meltdown that year was way overblown. We were the clear #2 for pretty much all of those guy. We had Leonard Williams at one point; but once he went out West we lost him immediately. The other guys you mentioned all went where everyone thought they would...ie: we weren't supposed to get any of them.

@oanewspreps: Regarding rumor that Auburn High has parted ways w/ coach Tim Carter: I just spoke w/ Carter in his office ... he's still the Tigers' coach.
@wsfa12fever: Auburn High School football coach Tim Carter says he told the team today he will not be coaching football next year. #fever12

That thread is awesome.
So do we have any chance with Amadi or Tolliver now that LSU is going without a DC for 2015?

Carter wasn't the problem
ETA: And I expect Glisson's going to be the one that gets the axe, if Carter's still around.

ESPN Bold predictions
5. Cowart will sign with Auburn
The Tigers will have the nation's No. 2-ranked prospect on The Plains on Jan. 16 on an official visit weekend that includes No. 9 CeCe Jefferson, No. 34 and Tennessee verbal Preston Williams, No. 38 and Georgia pledge Terry Godwin, No. 40 Jeffery Holland and possibly No. 1 Terry Beckner Jr. That list includes friends, budding relationships and a lot of difference-maker defensive talent. Many believe Cowart will end up inking with longtime favorite Florida, and especially with the hiring of Armwood High head coach Sean Callahan's son, Kirk Callahan. This one definitely falls under the bold prediction definition with the Gators and Florida State on the visit docket after Auburn.
3. Florida will miss on two of three "must have" prospects
With Cowart already mentioned above, time to move on to No. 3 Martez Ivey and No. 9 CeCe Jefferson. Ivey is currently the best bet to ink with the Gators, as of Wednesday, but there is such a strong bond with Chandler Cox and his family that the nation's No. 1 offensive tackle isn't a lock for Florida. On Jefferson, Florida has fallen behind since the hiring of Jim McElwain, but there is time to make up ground, and especially with Jefferson's father. It's looking like Florida will have to close very strong to sign two of the top-10 prospects in the country, when all three were slam dunks at the beginning of their respective recruitments.
