Making one thing clear (from an LSU fan's perspective)

Does the SEC rant get it now? For those LSU fans who were rooting for some/most SEC opponents in bowl season, we weren't "dick riding" Oklahoma or FSU or any other SEC opponent for that matter. We enjoy watching our brethren fall on the big stages. We, at least I, couldn't care less about SEC pride much more. That's what happens when you don't have a true rival anymore.
I, for one, enjoyed this bowl season.

2 game losing streak, 0-1 in 2014, etc.

I don't like the losses, but this season was actually fun for a change. 2011 was certainly spectacular, but it was harder to enjoy each game because I was terrified we'd lose one. Not sure that makes any sense, but I had a great time this season for the first time in a while.

I didn't root for the cow college last night. Can you imagine how terrible the offseason would have been?

Even I couldn't pull for AU in this game. But, wait until your team is 12-1 and gets left out of the playoff, and then tell us how much you like the rest of the SEC losing big out of conference games.

Hi.

NO! BAD! When the SEC wins, it's better for the Tigers. It makes our schedule appear tougher(because it is), and as a result we are ranked higher, more kids want to come to school in the SEC, and the dominance is perpetuated. When teams like Auburn and Bama (this year, but we're all guilty of screwing up at the end of the season some years) it is not bad for LSU. Wouldn't you rather be able to say that you were the only team to beat the National Champion? Wouldn't you rather not lose in state player to Florida State and Notre Dame like in the '90s? Or even if they chose another SEC school to prove they chose wrong by beating them?
Also, not to mention all that bowl money we get when SEC schools win. But no, some fans don't see the whole picture.
I'd rather win the "Game of the Century" against a regular season foe (AU, Bama, UF, whomever it is that year) than against an out of conference school any day. Natty excluded.

You then are a very sad person to exalt in a college kids injury, no matter who the opponent.

And I for one enjoyed the final 2 games of Bama's season. 80 points given up in 2 games including a game against a freshman QB for OU that was benched several times this year.

Tell us the story of when LSU scoopednscored against AJ this year.

Bill King was discussing this phenomena this morning on his show on Sirius XM. He said that for most Bama and Auburn fans, conference pride be damned, for the most part, they hate each other more than they want the conference to succeed.
