We have not got pressure on a QB consistantly in the last 5 years. Hope we do see a scheme/philosophy change.

I'd take him to be my team's head coach or defensive coordinator any time he wants.

I agree. It has been covered up by having an insanely talented secondary.

Less of a focus in the S&C on getting swole by guys who were recruited to rush the qb would be where I would start.

I usually stay away from troll threads. They are what they are and as a rule not very informative. But there is some truth in your statement.

X. Dickson and D. Devall are two examples of players that showed early promise of being dynamic pass rushers and disruptive players that could get penetration who got so big they lost most of their athletic ability. To a point, J. Pagan did the same. I understand the need for the front 3 to have size in a 3-4. But in the age of spread/fast offenses, there needs to be balance.

Ok, now back to the trolls. Carry on.

Not really. Has a lot to do with the scheme.

Looks like the defense gave up 73, right? Not that 73 is really any better, but still.

Actually only 66 because of Cyrus and AJ's fumble six to end the sugar bowl

Damn, I forgot that they scored a TD on that. Just damn.

34+45=79 last time I checked (not 83). point still stands but dodd (and the OP) should have caught that.

AU had a special teams TD, and OU had a defensive TD and a 5 yard field created by their D. Not that it's much better, but I would put 58 of those points truly on the Bama D.

Also, as for the AU game, I know AU's O scored 28 on Bama. What's their season average? Did Saban's D hold them below their average? If so, how much below?

Giving up points is going to happen. I wouldn't say he's no longer a "defensive mastermind" simply because his team have up some points.

Yeah, I thought that the defense played well enough for us to win. Considering what AU did to that Mizzou defense, I'd say it wasnt that bad of a performance. The offense just couldnt really get it going in the second half.

Probably by about 10 points, but why bring this up with the "LOL" part? LSU had a shot at Bama and lost by 21. I can't laugh at any team that beat my team. I think it makes you look dumb. That's why Bama fans who laugh if FSU beats AU will be reminded that AU knocked them off so they've got no room to laugh.

As a LSU fan, I know FSU would beat us.

However, using the transitive property makes you look stupid. It's all about matchups and scheme.

You're probably right. Missouri may have beaten Bama had they made it to the SECCG. Really seemed to regress a bit after the LSU game.

Looking forward to changes and lots of carries by DH next year.

13 of those points were non-offensive touchdowns.

C NS never did pay attention to how CLM beat JFF. Pride is a terrible thing sometimes.

Chavis and Miles didn't pay attention to how Alabama shut down Arkansas and Ole Miss these past two seasons either. No one has an answer to every offense.
