Definitely had my respect after last season. This game just firms that up.

Y'all really are the dumbest fan base.
For the eleventy hundredth time, I was talking about the context of his career and Alabama's season. If someone's perception of AJ McCarron's career hinges on whether or not he wins a Sugar Bowl after all he's accomplished, they're dumber than an Alabama sidewalk fan.
Seriously, I legitimately feel bad for University of Alabama alumni and all the mouthbreathers with whom they have to share their football team.

He'll still be a game manager just like every Bama quarterback for the past 30 years.

No difference. He has already proven he is a good/great QB. He happens to be blessed with superior talent so he isn't asked to do too much himself.
Remember the 2012 A&M game, on the 4th QTR drive when he scrambled and was tackled at the 2 yard line. THAT would have been a great time to be THE PLAYMAKER. He didn't score on the play, and threw the INT just after that.
Alright, if he breaks off a sick 90 yard scramble complete with jukes, spin moves, and running over people, wild score for a TD - then I won't view him as a game manager. Or if the game is tied, and he leaps over 3 OU defenders for a game winning TD run from 10 yards out then I will call him a stud playmaker.

I think he is an elite QB and an all around good dude. He did a lot of growing up in his time at Bama. I think he plays lights out tonight.

He's a decent QB with a great head. He makes good decisions. Should earn a backup job in the NFL. I don't see him starting immediately.
Maybe groomed behind a great for a few years.

You think this one game is gonna sway someone's opinion of him, if the previous 3 years hasn't?
Bingo. The kid is a winner. Period. If you aren't sold on AJ after three years then I don't know what to tell you.

Texas beat OU and they forced their coach out. Beating OU is expected. It won't change my opinion at all.

Product of the system, lots of undeserved accolades, decent game manager. Has an Ugly tatoo.

The system as in having elite players around him?

Hard to hate him after watching that piece about the equipment manager. Dammit I want to so bad.

How can anyone watch the Cotton Bowl last year and Peach Bowl this year and vote for him over JFF?
