Lots of smoke....Part one of the tandem could be a done deal by the end of the week, IMO.
Saban is probably intrigued by the idea of coaching a QB of that caliber for the first time in his career.

He was a miserable failure as a HC in the NFL. That's why he bailed on Miami. That ship was sinking and he knew it. Little man's syndrome doesn't work there. He's a college coach...nothing else.
He made the mistake once and if he can control his ego, he'll stay in college until retirement.
I can't imagine anyone would want to live in Tuscaloosa by choice so he could still move...but the NFL probably wouldn't work. He would stroke out.
