I think A&M will be better next year. Yalls backup qb was pretty good against rice and your defense can only improve.
Its gonna be a fight between Kenny Hill and Kyle Allen.

No guarantee of that. McElroy had the game of his life against UF in the SECCG, otherwise he was pretty underwhelming during that season.
And McCarron had his moment against LSU in the title game, but again was not very impressive in the 2011 regular season.
So what you're saying is that even with inexperienced/underwhelming QB play, Bama was able to do well the last two times they broke in a new QB?

Expecting to be in the top 15 is too much?

Who's you? We have a top 10-15 team going into next year. Not sure why it's so absurd to question why we would be as far back as 18th.

I heard BA on Chuck and Chernoff yesterday talking about this
I don't know who BA is

With a new Qb and a crappy D...yeah.

The point is that it DOES NOT happen often. How often does a QB put up those stats in CFB and their teams win a title?
Bama was so talented in other areas that they made up for it.
But there is no guarantee.

No way the D improves with experience. Nope nope nope.
I know Grantham's a bad coach, but come on. The offense will regress some, but we'll also have Mitchell, marshall, and JSW back. We'll still be able to score with Mason, and the D will be at least marginally better by default.

Good thing Bama stacked in other areas then (as we have grown accustomed to during Saban's tenure)

All of our contributing backs will be back, as will the TEs, and we only lose Norwood/Bell at WR, but really Bell didn't do anything this year. Then we return Arie, both our Centers, and both our RTs in Shep/Hill, PLUS there is a lot of CyKo coming back heating up.
And then the defense returns most of the two deep on the DL, Dickson/Devall/DePriest should all be back, Vinnie/LC/Jarrick will all be back, and so will our CBs other than Belue, granted Jackson should be the guy playing.
So it isn't like we're inexperienced, we'll return a shite ton of experience plus have all the talent you could ask for. As long as Bama has no more than one loss, you know we can work the right people to get into the playoff.

Hopefully it's a Matt Flynn-Jamarcus Russell fight and not a Jarrett Lee-Jordan Jefferson fight.

Well that's just not the case. They'll know like 60% of the plays instead of 30%.

Just wait for the piggyville nuts to tell you how Bert will have us in the top 25. I think you have to have a relative low iq to sign up. If you want a laugh and to feel better about yourself, just spend 20 mins there.

The D returns 10 starters. I don't care if they were bad, there's no way they don't improve. And our offense, despite losing murray, will be one of the best in the league. We return every meaningful WR, 3 OL, and the best RB in the country.
There is no reason we should be lower than 15th to start with.
