having lived there for 8 years I can confidently say that the gumps have a higher quantity and quality of the trash element.

Easily Bama. Most Auburn fans are graduates or have family that graduated. Bammers usually don't have much to do with the University.

If you have 4 times as many trashy fans and your trashy fans kill people and destroy property, you're the trashier fanbase.

This is not true. In my hometown of Monroeville the majority of people are Auburn fans because there is an Auburn experimental farm there. Many of these people will never go to any college much less Auburn.
Claiming "most" Auburn fans as graduates is a stretch.

I would tend to think people who call others trash need to take a closer look at themselves.
I've never heard anyone with class call someone "trash."
