Big 12 in SEC

I do not come here often, but has there been any discussion that maybe the SEC isn't as strong as most of you think? Two perennial Big 12 losers (1 championship between them both...last century) move to the SEC and instantly have success. I'm sure you guys have explanations/excuses for this. I am interested in learning what they are. I agree with all the Big 12 bashing I have seen here, but how is this consistent with the success of aTm and Mizzou in the SEC?

JFF and a horrible SEC East.

That said, Mizzou is an extremely talented team this year, and Pinkel changed his offensive philosophy to a more SEC-friendly approach and it's working.

Has there been discussion within your family that you're an idiot?
Missouri has recently played in two Big 12 title games. They weren't a "perennial loser". They were an above average (sometimes mediocre, sometimes pretty good) program.
Texas A&M has JFF. They'd have gone undefeated in the Big 12-2-2+2 last season and probably beaten Notre Dame in the national title game (Alabama would have been left out). But playing the SEC, they didn't even make it to the conference title game.

Youre dumb. Mizzou or Texas A&M would not be where they are without being in the SEC. Why? Recruiting. 90% of our recruits would not be at Mizzou if they were in the Big12. Think more outside the box, its more than just the team name. They are a lot different now

I call BS. Mizzou had more wins that most bevo 12 teams in the last 5 years. A&M was on a coaching carousel. The crappy conference was arguably holding them back. The SEC is plenty strong, all up and down the team roster - not just at the top. Teams willing to do what it takes can succeed here.
Just slide on back into your hole.

Just joining the SEC has had a huge impact in their recruiting and also aTm has a good coach now.

Miz Stl- How many big 12 championships did mizzou win in the history of the conference? I think "loser" is a fair description.

This.
Arkansas almost got DGB, and definitely would have if Mizzou were still in the Big 12. Mizzou has a ton of in-state talent and can now lock more of those kids down with the draw of SEC membership. Texas A&M has been killing it in recruiting because they can play the SEC card. Enough said.

Mizzou has won its division 4 out of the last 7 years.

A rising tide (not Tide) lifts all boats.
You breathe in the excellence that is the SEC and your team naturally improves.
You stay in the fetid swamp that is the big whatever and you naturally sink to the lowest common denominator.
Fact.

Mizzou: A solid team in the Big 12 the last few seasons (averaged 9 wins the last 7 years in the conference). Changed their offensive and defensive philosophies to better fit the SEC after a season filled with devastating injuries.
Texas A&M: Had terrible coaches until Sumlin, and Johnny Football didn't play in the Big 12.
Neither team's success in the SEC has anything to do with the Big 12.

This just means the SEC even recruits other schools better than anyone else.
SEC! SEC! We're GODS down here!

Perhaps the Big 12 is regretting hauling in powerhouses like TCU and West Virgina.
