I just got back from the game. I don't know how many of y'all were there, but in my short time here at Bama this was the worst lost I've seen (at least in person). I guess what got me was the fact that I saw the returned touchdown right in front of me, and then sitting in shock watching their fans rushing the field. It was awful. Wose than 9-6, worse than JFF, maybe even worse than IB 2010.
But hell roll tide anyways. That's all I can say right about now. Still proud of our boys, a loss was bound to happen eventually.

I can imagine Bama fans in JHS today share your feelings. To be beat soundly, you can resign yourself to it well before the end of the game. but this, and the way it happened....

At least we can say that Auburn had a some better players in 2010. I doubt they would have won, or even come back without Cam.

Tonight we got out played by an inferior team. Auburn is good but still young. It was never supposed to be this close. They wanted it more, and we didn't bring our A game for the whole game. Again. For the 4th year in a row.

I would have rather lose by 2 touch downs then to see them win it with literally NO frickING TIME LEFT!

What irritates me is that Auburn took a playbook that consists of 5 plays and crammed it down Alabama's throat.

There is not one single thing about 2010 that makes it worse than this debacle. Not one. Sure, we blew a lead in 2010. To a higher ranked undefeated team. To the eventual BCS champion. To the Heisman trophy winner. That in no way, shape, or form makes it worse than tonight.

Th s made 28-27 feel like 34-13 over Miami. Today, we completely vomited all over ourselves against a lesser opponent with everything on the line.

Absolutely...and it wasn't just any "lesser opponent". It was the opponent "work 365 days a year to dominate." By Nick Saban's own standards, he and his staff utterly failed tonight. Hell, the returned FG in no way surprised me at all. The personnel on the field by design aren't there to cover a kick...yet a kick return is exactly what Auburn set up during the timeout.

This trumped it for me simply because the one in 2010 didn't cost us a chance at the national title.

I do think everyone should ease up on Saban though. The guy's helped build a dynasty here and now people are cussing him out over 1 game. Sure a lot of the blame goes on him, but this wasn't just a coaching mishap. Foster fudged 3 fgs. Our receivers dropped SEVERAL passes. Our QB under/over threw our guys several times. Our best defensive player seemed like he was clueless out there. Our secondary had blown coverages all over the field. It was far from just a coaching problem.

I was pretty angry about the coaching blunders in this one, but the guy is still human and makes mistakes like the rest of us. Even with tonight's mistakes, what college fanbase wouldn't want take him in a heartbeat? At least we don't have an ignorant buffoon like Bo Pelini running things.

Anybody find it somewhat comical we could end up playing michigan state again in the capital one?

Am I the only one who doesn't think this was a big deal?

I'm right there with you. For some reason this was very easy to get over. We've played so many close games this year, I knew something was gonna happen to this effect.

I'm over it now, I've been saying for 2 years it's about time for us to lose a game we have no business losing. But let me assure you the barners will never let us forget it. This is about the worst way I have seen ANY team lose a damn game. I was 8 years old when "punt Bama punt" happened and I don't care how bad we beat them they would always throw that crap up. Now every time you are wearing a Bama hat/shirt/jacket you are going to hear "Got a second?" So get ready friends cause this one ain't going to be a 365 day deal, this one is never going away.

Who cares? The only point of relevance they ever have is beating bama. Let them have it.

You know what pisses them off more than anything? Keeping the win in perspective. It's not the end of the world. It's 1 loss.

Can't imagine being at that shitshow. I went in 09 and vowed never to go back after we somehow pulled that one out of our arse. It always seems that anytime Auburn is even moderately good we shite the bed and hand them the game. I can already tell you what next year's IB will look like.

The fact that we haven't beaten a good Auburn team in over a decade or two is at bigtime red flag.

I think IB 10 was worse just bc I hated Cam so much. But the way we lost this game was insane. I can't believe our kicker was the only person who attempted to try and tackle that return man.
