I couldn't care any less why he does it or what he's overcompensating for - it's working, and the results speak for themselves.

Yep, I've noticed that Alabama's strength and conditioning seems to be lacking compared to other programs. Cochran obviously needs to do less yelling and do his fricking job.

Cochran must be doing something right.
He's the only strength coach, college or pro that is a household name.
I'll bet he's the only strength coach who has had a 60 Minutes piece done on him, is a fixture on the videoboards on gameday, and is talked about on Howard Stern.
