Bama did everything to block it from happening.

Jimmies - old school. We called it fricking with you - Not Jimmie Rustling. Your generation has the gayest terminology of any - ever.
Walked to school up hill - both ways.
You guys need thicker skin if you are gonna make it around here.
But your obsession over me is noted and appreciated.
Come on Roger baby - do what you do. I know you are waiting......refreshing........

Bama had a melt down when Fran left - you can spin it any way you want, but:
TEXAS A&M STOLE THE HEAD COACH AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA - AND ALABAMA WANTED HIM TO STAY.....BADLY.
The events after the hire do not change the fact above.
Deal with it.

And? Alabama hadn't even hit the depths of probation at that point. You can't romotely compare the two situations.

A&M STOLE THE HEAD COACH AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA
From the OU vs TAMU 2003 write-up...
quote:
Dennis Franchione, who nearly engineered an upset of Oklahoma in Norman last season when he was at Alabama, suffered the worst loss of his 21-year head coaching career. He spent most of the chilly, drizzly afternoon stalking up and down the sidelines, rarely looking up from his clipboard. TAMU is likely headed to its first losing season since...

I don't love it nearly as much as you do

90% of the coaches in college would have left after seeing the penalties we were getting from the NCAA.

That is a great comeback. Damn.

Fran doesn't leave if our sanctions aren't worse than he anticipated. But thank God he did. He would likely still be in Tuscaloosa.

Don't get your Depends up in a bunch. Lighten up. We're just a bunch of youngsters who don't respect the elderly.

Just start RA'ing his threads. Enough of them are spam to constitute a ban eventually.

That was not the company line when it went down my man. Many coaches stay when sanctions hand down. Will Saban? You got 2 players admitting to taking money from agents and its behind the obituaries.
Johnny has a beer and its Wall Street Journal.
You are wrong about this - Bama was very very very shell shocked he left. There was no "oh I figured he would leave - no biggie"
You are prob too young.
Roger. Your obsession over me even effects your ability to defend A&M here. Where you graduated from right

Your posting habits are a much greater detriment to my school's image than what other posters think about Dennis Franchione.

I was a sophomore at Alabama wen it happened. He walked out on Alabama. He so much as lied to players on he plane ride from Honolulu.
But we should have known he was looking for an out. His name was attached to Kansas the year before. The sanctions were tougher than anticipated and he didn't think he could make it with a short deck.
