Even for a series in garbage time at any point in the year? Didnt he give AJ some run as a RS freshman with the whole butt slap? Any clue into the staffs thoughts ...even Ely got a little tick last yr

They don't anticipate him ever getting meaningful snaps, so getting him garbage time experience is pointless.

Made a lot of mental mistakes at A-Day. Saban called him Alex. I'm guessing he is gone.

Same reason we didn't see AJ his Freshman year. Saban said on Hey Coach earlier this year that AJ was the "second string" QB that year but wanted to save his eligibility. Aren't you glad he did.

He would have played against Texas if something had happened to GMac.

Because Blake Sims is second string. Crazy how some of yall dismiss guys after only 1 and 2 years in the program.

It's to let him know that he should leave the program, he ain't in the cards for Bama's future.
