Kelly with access to all those Southern athletes would terrify me.

Here is what I would do.

1) Realize Muschamp in a defensive coach.

2) Offer $2 million a year to Chad Morris at Clemson as OC. Chump change to Florida.

That is all Florida needs.

Spurrier will retire at Carolina. He made a three-year promise to prodigy quarterback Connor Mitch.

I realize my suggestions are detrimental to both Carolina and Georgia, but y'all asked.

A Mike Leach Air Raid would be kind of cool, but that guy makes Muschamp seem sane

Who's the guy at North Carolina?

You'd get a damn good coach at a bottom-of-the-barrel price. Why not? Who out there is better (that you have a realistic shot of landing)?

You have no soul then. No Gator I know wants Petrino. He's a terrible recruiter and doesn't care about defense apparently. Also, Boom sliding to DC from HC is not happening. It never does. Your postulation is silly from all angles.

It won't be Petrino. If we wanted him we could have had him a long time ago. We didn't want him then and don't want him now or in the future.

UF isn't firing BOOM. They may be looking for a new OC after the season though.

Nick Saban, duh.

Florida would not even spit in Petrino's direction. They had enough drama to last a lifetime pre-Spurrier. It won't happen again.

Florida is one of the half-dozen richest schools in the country with probably the overall best sports program. Gators, though I love beating them--Carolina or Georgia, doesn't matter--are class. Fine university, probably only behind UVA and UNC in the Southeast.

The hire, if there really is one, will be spotless.

Go to Gatorcountry.com. Most of he posters there would rather lose a game 48-45 than win one 17-14. Bizarre. There are probably three threads going on there right now that pretty much express this sentiment.

(Gator fans should hire Art Briles. Perfect All-O, no-D approach they would love)

No UF fan I think wants to sacrifice the defensive play/recruiting we've had the last couple of years to get a better offense. I certainly don't.

Petrino and Leach will not happen for that very reason.
