You all have 3 losses that were largely in part to poor decision making by the coaching staff. (yes, I realize State has the same problem).
Just curious if you still see Freeze as the great Savior of if you're wondering if he is in fact not the answer to OM's problems

I think we're headed in the right direction with Freeze.
Our lack of depth and inexperience still shows. If people give him some time to get a couple of more classes to campus, I think they'll be pleased.

Great leader and and recruiter. Play caller leaves much to be desired. I stick with my thoughts when he was hired. Like the hire and the fire behind him, but I hate the HUNH spread option.

What poor coaching decisions?
Field goals @ Bama? The first one was 50-something yards. No guarantee Ritter makes that at all. We only made the red-zone TWO more times in that game and they were both late in the game when FGs would have been moral victories. They were the right decisions.
Auburn? I'm not sure. What coaching decisions would you be referring to that "lost the game"? I'd blame that one more on SIX wide receiver drops and SIX allowed QB sacks.
TAMU? If you're referring to the final drive, then you should know that Brunetti was hurt and told the coaches he was afraid he'd fumble if he got hit. So there goes that option. 3 straight pass plays? Well, the first play was a pass/run option and Bo made the wrong decision. The second play was the right play. Ja-Mes dropped that ball. The third play HAD to be a pass and it just broke down.
You can't nit-pick like that when he has us competing into the 4th quarter with the top teams in our division only 2 years removed from a 2-10 disaster season.
I'm not saying he won't make mistakes, but he's not inept and hasn't exactly "cost us games". People need to give him more than 2 fricking years to turn this shite-show around.

What poor decision did he make against A&M? That last series Barry was hurt and the first play was a run/pass option, Bo chose to pass. The second play was a perfect pass dropped that would have been a 14 yard gain.
Freeze has our guys prepared and they play hard. I don't think that is something that can just change due to experience. Play calling can improve due to experience. He's extremely humble so I have faith he will continue to improve year to year in the only area that Freeze isn't elite, which is situational play calling.
Bottom line is we are improving year to year. As long as that continues how can you complain?

I think you are a complete and total idiot and have no idea why they allowed you access to this board.

He is a great fit for us. He is a very good recruiter which is a must to compete in this league. I'm not a huge fan of a HC that calls plays because I think he losses focus on other decisions that coaches should make. I think once he finds someone he trust to call plays he will give up play calling duties and become more of an adviser with veto power.
I still think he is learning to coach at this level. He is learning ever game just as much as our young team is. I would rather him make mistakes and learn from them now then when have a good team with something meaningful on the line.

I said it in the other post, but again I had you confused with another poster. I apologize for my comments. Carry on.

Good coach who is still growing. Anyone who says he is a terrible coach or should be fired is a fricking idiot.

"Poor decision making" by our coaching staff had us a drive away from beating the heisman winning 9th ranked team with 8 defensive players out of the game.
The first play of that last drive was a run pass option where bo reads the defense and makes the call. He made a decent throw but it wasn't there. Second down coaches made a perfect play call and WR drops a 1st down ball that hits him in the chest.
And btw a&m had all three timeouts so if we tried to run with their stacked box and got stuffed all they had to do was call timeout. I know we can second guess but it comes down to players executing. Calls we're not the problem.

The AU and Alabama games are his and the offense's fault. He called a great A&M game especially in the second half. He's still young and had a hell of a depth rebuild so I'll hold off on judgement for a couple of years.

I got no problem with him. I still believe in his system. I'd like to see how we respond to the three losses. I by no means expected a great and awesome season.

Unlike the previous 2 losses, I see no major calls that I had to really scratch my head over in the last game. It just came down to the wire, and if we had another 2 minutes, we would have won it. It's just the clock and Johnny Football fricked us, again. It's the same story as last season, except with more injuries.

I don't have a problem with his play calling because with better, more developed players, the plays he calls won't look so bad. These young players will hopefully turn into great players one day.
Thats why coaches need more than a few years to build a program.

We were definitely out-coached against A&M. I never agreed with the decision to hire him. He just isn't SEC caliber in my opinion.
