frick our face. Pease' leash is growing very very short from me.

The ONLY thing good from today is Kelvin Taylor got a chance and shined.

Game was lost with that one playcall in the redzone. WTF was that?

Game was lost because we couldn't stop the run early. Something that we have struggled against with every team with a pulse.

Pease' 3rd down play calling in the 1st half was fricking abysmal though.

Put it this way:

If Kelvin Taylor doesn't play more from here on out, Pease should be fired.

His play calling was absolutely garbage today.

Absolutely garbage.

Read somewhere that White decides which RB is in each play.....not sure if that's true or not

Still wish we'd throw more on 1st down earlier in the games

How is our o-line soooo shitty every year?

Not sure about the OL. Pretty disappointing though.

They did well in run blocking today.

But pass blocking was a fricking disaster.

Do you really think it's Pease? It's Muschamp IMO. Pease was a lot more aggressive at Boise. Third straight year of shite offense under Muschamp. sigh

You think Muschamp likes this?

This is the fourth time while at UF that Muschamp's defenses have held teams to 17 points and have lost.

Pease's playcalling today, especially in the redzone was god awful.

Yeah. I think the 3rd down playcalling was a solid reflection of Pease today.

Really disappointed with Pease yesterday, but our OL in pass protection . I agree, Kelvin did make some nice runs, and I also have to give Murphy some credit for busting his arse trying to make things happen (there were a few instances where he should've been sacked for a 10 yard loss, but he at least got a few yards out of it).

Don't you understand WHY we don't throw more on first down? Its easy....we have inexperienced qb and Boom is trying to keep him from having third and longs all day....which we ended up with anyway because of flags and sacks etc etc.

Playcalling? Man how can some of you blame playcalling? That's a cop out. If the play called had been executed properly and we blocked well enough...then it would be successful.

Our gameplan was the same as all the games we have played...hand to hand combat in a telephone booth...toughness and slowing game down to a crawl and making it a short game and the score close..which we did. We had chance to win in the 4th qt....but Murphy was buried by pass rush all day and it was because our run game wasn't being successful enough.

Everyone will get their wish now..Matt Jones is banged up and Taylor will get more touches...but some of you think true frosh just get on the field and run the damn ball....kid has to know a lot about the protection schemes and have great ball security...none of us know how well he protects the ball in closed practices.

No matter WHO called plays yesterday...our OL was inept against the pass rush.

And this will get us beat against good teams.

Against Tennessee, Arky, and UK, that was okay.

Heck, we should've beaten Miami doing that if it weren't for 5 turnovers.

But if we're just gonna constantly run the ball on first down, teams are gonna stack the box, and eventually the offense is always gonna have to convert 3rd and long, which is what happened yesterday.

And it doesn't help that the OLine cant pass protect for shite.

They tried to run 2 screens yesterday, both of which were batted down at the LOS.

They need to take some shots deep with Dunbar or one of the freshman WR's to keep the defense honest.

You can't go an entire game without taking a few shots of 30+ yards down the field. It just doesn't work.

Yup
No running lanes, no time to pass, it was terrible. Felt terrible for Murphy.

And how is Murphy supposed to complete a 30 yd pass, when he is running for his life?

I don't get why we are so slow. We can still be pro-style/physical/run oriented team, but be faster.

Because the pass blocking sucks.

quote:

They are always gonna be inexperienced if we never let them take shots down the field and grow up on gameday.

quote:

which we ended up with anyway because of flags and sacks etc etc.

If we never throw and end up in third and longs anyway, then we are only setting our selves back even further.

quote:

Playcalling? Man how can some of you blame playcalling?

That little trick play Pease called in the redzone was ridiculous. He always gets to cute in the redzone and look at were we have our biggest problems, in the redzone.

quote:

Whos job is it to teach the players how to execute properly? the coaches.

quote:

it was because our run game wasn't being successful enough.

Because no one respects our passing game.

quote:

He will give us a legit weapon in the backfield. He cant be worse at pass blocking then Mack Brown and he runs the ball better then Matt Jones. If you let him go out there this year and get his reps and make his mistakes but also make his big plays we will have a quality sophomore RB next year. You can be great in practice and suck on the field and vice versa. You never know until your number gets called.

This we can agree on but if the Oline doesnt make any progress by the end of the year the Oline coach needs to get his pinkslip.

And he only got a chance because of injury.

I'm sick of watching Jones run into the backs of blockers and missing wide open holes. Taylor is clearly our most talented back and should have been getting significant playing time from the start of the season.

Agreed on Pease. He's terrible. However, not many plays are going to be successful when you can't block. OL recruiting and development hasn't been good lately, and we're not going to get where we want to be unless both drastically improve.
