First official Maroon Out game was held October 10th against #2 Nebraska. Aggies won 28-21 almost exclusively running the football (Randy McCown only connected on two of his eight pass attempts--my how times change!). And one of those completions accounted for 81 of the 93 total passing yards on the day--a bomb to Chris Taylor to go up 7-0.

Beatin' The Hell Outta nebraska

Cedric Curry killed the last-gasp Nebraska drive as they were attempting to tie the game before a Kyle Field in the process of building the Bernard C. Richardson Zone.

And Tooooooooooooooooooombs was, well, Tooooooooooooooooooombs

Here's to many many more years of #MaroonOut!

If that damn official hadn't been blocking for Nebraska he would have scored on that long run. Man he was a beast.

If we get rid of the Corps block, the maroon outs will look much cooler.

That's because you never saw Kyle Field without it. It is only as old as the Big 12 Conference.

Yes I did

I've been going to Kyle Field since before the Big12 formed, remember, CGSC

But I enjoyed going to games with my buddies/upperclassmen/lowerclassmen. I don't care that it's not a "tradition" (although I'd wager that it IS one now). Some great memories and fun experiences and I don't care what anyone else thinks about it.

Corps bloc was necessitated by the post-game events vs. tu in '95. Had to make it easier for ct's and bq's to get to the field and assault anyone violating the sacred memorial that Kyle field is.

I will be in the minority, but I think the maroon out is dumb. I personally feel as if the maroon makes the stadium look less full. I also think its high schoolish.

Frick the maroon out.

It was a great idea when it started, to fight the sea of red that went everywhere Nebraska did when they were a powerhouse. After a couple years it got pretty old. They were just doing it to sell t-shirts at that point and every team in the nation did their own version. They need to let it go away for a while to rejuvenate the idea.

That said the stadium looks better than it did in the early 90s when people just wore whatever colors they wanted and the stadium looked like a damn rainbow.
