I was lucky enough to talk recruiting with Tim Brando on his radio program couple weeks ago. We all know Mason will helm the Dawgs next year but Brice Ramsey and Jacob Park are two phenomenal incoming talents that will have us set comfortably for next few years. Thoughts?

I saw Startford play Summerville last Friday night. Park looked TERRIBLE. As a Dawg fan, I hate to say that. His throws were all over the place.

I think we'll do fine after AM leaves. It might be away until all of his records are broken, but I don't think we'll suffer too much with whoever replaces him.

Hutson is more than capable of running this offense...will get interesting after him though. I would be surprised if Lemay ever saw the field, just cant learn the playbook, so the battle between Ramsey and Park should be good

no big deal. If we start him we'll just let him train on the job for four years until he's a good QB

Go back 4 years, substitute Stafford for Murray, and I think we've heard that line before. We have no QB waiting that has played more than just a few minutes. Mason doesn't have a full games experience and has never played when the game was on his shoulders.
I myself wonder just what the next 3 years will bring.

How much did Murray play before getting the start after Cox left?
I think we've got more potential waiting in line at the QB position than we did during the year of the ginger.
It won't be a seamless transition, obviously (going from a 4-year starter to anyone without a lot of experience will be difficult), but we have the tools on offense to make it easier. We will have fine RBs and experienced WRs to help out whoever steps up next year.

I hope when Hutson steps in we dont have another Joe Cox situation. He was horrible when he stepped in for a year. He was given the keys to the Ferrari and screwed it all up. We have a good o line, good rbs, and stacked at reciever again. Qb play is key for next year.

Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think Joe Cox was ever meant to play.
Stafford bolted for the NFL, Logan Gray was a 4 star bust, and so we were left with Sad Penis Von Fanta-Pants.
We will have options next year even if Hutson doesn't pan out.

Have to say, I was never a Stafford fan. Last year we played FLA, first drive... he threw five completions, was on ten yard line.
I said, "He's going to throw an interception, guarantee it."
He had one of the best RBs in the country, all he had to do was get off his glory hoggin' and let Moreno run it.
And... interception.

Training by attrition, basically.

Correct. Logan Gray = Christian LeMay.
All indications are that Mason will do well. He knows the system inside and out, and while he isn't Murray, he's no Joe Cox. Mason came in with pretty good credentials. All American, Georgia Player of the Year, etc. Set GA state records for passing yards (4,560) and touchdowns (54) in a season and against pretty good competition level.
