Here goes....
Offense
Tyler Murphy so far is the real deal. I know everyone is gonna say well look at his competition so far. Well I will say the kid just has it upstairs. He makes good decisions, scans the field and can take off when things break down. His first real test of the season is coming up next Saturday. He is a dual threat version of Chris Leak IMO.
I have just accepted that we are power running team that goes for 2 to 4 yards this year and that we are not going for the big runs with a speed back. Every week Muschamp says Taylor is gonna get some more carries yet the kid never sees the field. He must fumble alot in practice or doesnt know the playbook that great. I was happy to see Valdez Showers get some love on that shovel pass touchdown.
The wide receivers have been a pleasant surprise. Dunbar and Patton are stretching the field nicely and Burton is very reliable at catching the ball on third down. Our TE even caught a pass on an important 3rd down play tonight. Which is something I honestly didnt think I would see that against an SEC defense this season.
Offensive line. Our starters are a good group but when we have to go into our 2 deep it seems there is a very big dropoff, hopefully were recruiting better in this area. It seems as if the oline is mismash of guys that are good run blockers and good pass blockers, but no one who is great at doing both. I have just noticed that some of our lineman excel more one way or the other depending on the play call.
Defense
Defensive line has obviously lost a monster in Easley but they are still a formidable group. We are gonna miss him being in the backfield every snap though. The run defense is legit, still wish we had more of a pass rush though.
The linebackers have improved every game of the season and seem to get smarter and aggressive as the game goes along. I think next year our LB's will be the best group in the SEC.
Secondary is hands down the best secondary in the country. No complaints here.
Kicking game.
God help us all.
If we had Sturgis this year we would probably win the East. I just have this uneasy feeling that this will cost us a game. (it kind of already did, because of the coaching staffs lack of faith in making a field goal, we opted to go for it on 4th downs in the Miami game. If we could of just taken the field goals we would have won)
Coaching
Pleased with Muschamp.
Once I found out our problem on offense was Driskel and not Pease, I am cool with him now. He seems to call a looser game because i think he has alot more faith in Murphy. I dont know if he goes vanilla in the 3rd and 4th quarter because he wants to run clock himself or Muschamp is telling him to. According to RoadGator, Muschamp is handcuffing him and if this is true it is my only criticism of him on the season but im not gonna bitch because we are winning.
Muchamp and Durkin are defensive masters
Once our defense figures out what the opponent is doing that is working. They shut it down. Our defense seems like they know exactly what play the offense is going to run, like they got a crystal ball or something. As long as we can have this defensive production I can ride with this coaching staff for a long time.

Great post.
To comment on your Kelvin remark... He had bad issues fumbling in fall camp and came in with a little entitlement. Doubt he gets many carries if they are meaningful snaps.

Give someone the ball besides Jones...we can't continue to be bad running. It will hurt us down the line. Give showers half the carries if you need but Jones is just frustrating and I'm over it now. Taylor, herndon, showers....give them the ball. Stop with the practice crap, cause Murphy sucked in practice yet look at him. Some kids are GAMERS. I sucked at practice in high school at both sports I played, but I lead my team in interceptions Jr and Sr year and was the number 1 tennis player. Some people elevate for game time, give them a damn shot already cause Jones is not doing his job well.

Get Taylor and Showers involved in the screen game.

dmb, were there similar issues with DRob? He seemed good in practice, you would think he'd get more looks.

I have heard Robinson is doing some things off the field that are frowned upon. Let's hope he has gotten past that. He hangs out with Roberson a lot. Put 2 and 2 together.

I think brown looks good at rb as well.

I hope we start throwing it more. I know Muschamp wants to be physical, but we just aren't running the ball well. We are like running 70% of the time, which is kind of ridiculous. He always preaches balance, but we aren't really seeing it.
Regardless, if we do run it a lot more, I would like use to push tempo sometimes. We did that to end the first half. We seriously seem to be just cheesing to get a higher time of possession. Like, in the first QT of Kentucky, we needed to take a time out, and Muschamp just waited till the play clock to run out before calling the TO. That was a WTF moment for me.

I don't know where else to put it, so I guess I'll stick it here:
I love at the end of a winning game when Muschamp comes over to shake the band director's hand and fist pumps to the crowd. If he doesn't love being here, he sure as hell is a great actor. He looks like a kid on Christmas morning for a few seconds every time.

I love Muschamp's attitude. I do wish we were a more disciplined team though. We are kind of like Va Tech (when they were good) with more penalties.

It doesn't matter who coaches this team we are always #1 or 2 in penalties.
