UK players very confident vs. UF

Za’Darius is geeking over his first SEC game. The caliber of a program like Florida might intimidate most, but this is Za’Darius, “It’s an OK team, I’m not just going to say (that) they’re all that. Hey, it’s the SEC.” When asked if they looked bigger/faster/stronger on tape than he expected, he said, “No they didn’t, they actually looked smaller than people we already played.”
If that doesn’t pump up the D, a 26 game losing streak might. Avery said the coaches and players have mentioned it, using the streak as a “chip on our shoulder”. Avery has faith in his guys, “I think it’s a very beatable game- I know it is. You have to go in with that attitude and come out with a win.” The night game atmosphere at Commonwealth will be more than enough to get the juices flowing.

I don't read "confident" in what you posted, just excited to play in an SEC game. And why not, this is not Spurrier/Meyer Florida, they have a good D, but the offense is suspect. You have a new QB starting his first game on the road. UK has had a week off to heal up and prepare.
Any reason to think this might not be a very good close game? I think it could be...

Louisville beat UF by 10 and UK by 14, and that was when Drizzy was at QB.I'm expecting a close game.
Hargreaves intercepts a pass with 10 seconds left, wide open field in front of him, nothing but green grass between him and the end zone, he accidentally steps out of bounds at the 15 yard line.
UF kicks a FG with 2 seconds left to win 3 to 0.

Thinking about the streak causes a chip on their shoulder?

If Driskel turn the ball over 4 times UK has a chance. Oh wait Driskel is out. As long as Murphy doesn't make too many mistakes UF should be in good shape.

Very few of them have participated in that streak, but I'm sure it's motivation. I mean, how ridiculous is it to have a 26 game losing streak against a team in your conference and in your division. It's unbelievable to me that UK has lost that many in a row, and we did the same thing with UT, but broke that streak at 26, so I'm hoping for this one this weekend.

I mean how can you not use that as motivation. You know how big of a deal it would be for these players and Stoops to be the team that ends the streak to Florida. It is what a lot of these freshman came to Kentucky for, to change the perception of the school football-wise. What bigger way to say that than to go out and beat Florida on your home field.

I guess you guys have a different understanding of what having a chip on the shoulder means.

I think UF will win, but this Gator team can lose to anyone. See week 2.

If we had won that one we would still be looking at a 20 year streak.

So they're all freshmen or first year players?
UF by 40.

Actually, that's a pretty close assessment. We may have the youngest team in the conference.
As far as Za'Darius' confidence he just came out of a game giving a potential Heisman candidate trouble and leads the SEC in sacks. I'd probably have some confidence facing a kid in only his second start, first on the road too.

Was there, as I have been for many games where UK snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. It happens, and after 7 interceptions in that game. Only UK could have 7 interceptions in one game and lose.

your gators could literally take a shite on the 50 and win by 20 vs. UK.
